If it was Morey, and he did say that Thabeet would be a big part of "the team", there is nothing to say which team he was referring to.
They traded Gasol for scrubs, didn´t send a single bad contract to the Lakers, because they didn´t want to pay his salary, and now traded for Randolph who is paid the same as Gasol but is a worse player than Gasol. They ARE a dysfunctional franchise durvasa.
thabeet looks the opposite of hayes. so in situations where hayes needs length -- thabeet instead. in situations where thabeet needs stout toughness -- chuckwagon. good combo. think of the length we would have acquired.
