From a friend that works at the studio, Carroll Dawson and Steve Francis should be coming in to talk about the draft. CD is definitely coming, but Steve isnt a lock yet. Hopefully we will get to hear what Francis is saying from his own lips.

If it's Carroll Dawson AND Francis, you can bet that CD has big restrictions on what Steve says on camera. We probably won't hear any big opinions from Steve one way or another.

HOPEFULLY, by Sunday night we should know 10 times more about what is going to eventually happen draft night. So Steve can speak freely & from his heart for all I care.

Maybe Steve is just coming in to plug his cameo in Like Mike.

What I hope is that Francis spends some time with CD and Rudy so they can explain to Francis WHY they are so excited about Ming. I think Francis' lack of enthusiasm about the pick is because he knows so little about Ming. Francis just needs to know where CD and Rudy are coming from in terms of picking Ming and where he fits in with the team. I think once Francis can get more educated on it he will be on board with the decision.

Deuce, I'd be surprised if CD and Rudy haven't already spent some time with Francis talking with him about Yao. What it comes down to is that all of the above probably feel Yao could be at least a couple years from really contributing. If Francis is set against Yao, I don't think CD's and Rudy's opinions will change anything. Hopefully Yao will make a significant impact his rookie year, we'll win more games and everyone will be happy as a result. Even it really is about sharing the limelight that has Stevie upset, I think he'll get over it if we're competitive.

that's pretty harsh. granted troy DOES seem arrogant w/ his posts, but if he's that much of an agitator, why read his posts? but back to this thing. what if francis DID support the idea of ming on camera? that don't mean he's telling the truth. 2 years ago shaq and kobe hated eachother but they went on camera during interviews saying 'we're all cool and stuff'

Troy: You'd make it a lot easier on yourself if you weren't so damn hostile. Actually, if Francis does love Yao and Yao does get drafted, you probably will get roasted on the BBS. That shouldn't be a surprise considering your attitude.

My guess is you are going to have to call an awful lot of people bozos in the future if you get offended by the "you were wrong" posts.

You shouldn't be pissed. You did this to yourself.

You Jeff out of all people should realize Francis don't "love" Yao and I will not bow down to attacking post when some mods should be doing their job and deleting such vulgar language and attacks on someone but I have yet to see such actions.

Maybe If Clutch charged a membership fee we would have people talking basketball and trades and not ones character.
But hey you get what you pay for.
I used to think this site was the best out their but now I am not so sure now. It seems it has gone to pure anarchy and rude posters who have nothing else better to do but attack another individual for making statements...THATS NOT BASKETBALL thats Bullchips.

I did not ask for anything Jeff I am free to post what I want within the guidelines but I will not lay down and allow such foolish idiots to attack my character when they do not know ShiLt
    about me.

I have gotten used to both complaints and complaining when I've been on this site, but to hear complaints about the site is just rediculous. I have no problems with you TroyBarros, but this site keeps many of us, us. By that I mean: we are able to be ourselves on this site to a certain extent. I haven't been part of this site for that long, but I will say this, cheers to the founders and cheers to the keepers!

    As is anyone else.

Maybe you should practice what you preach. If it wasn't such a pain to pull up your old posts, now that you are on my ignore list, I would show you several examples of your character attacks on others, than just your Bozo comment from above.

Can we let the freakin' guys meet each other, practice with each other and play games with each other before we make any freakin' assumptions?

There are too many mind readers on this board.

I don't think I even have to ask, but will someone please give a summary of all that was said when it happens?

To me, just the idea that Steve is willing to talk about it publicly with CD, seems like a good sign to me. But, I have a feeling Steve won't be at the interview.

Many of the players see the coaches hanging out at Westside on a daily basis.

I could care less if Francis appears on Sports Sunday or wherever. Do any of us actually think they would say something of much substance to each other on the air live?

I don't know, they might. Francis more than likely isn't going to say anything negative like "I'm not going to sign a long-term deal with the Rockets if they draft Ming." So, I'm just wondering why he would have even accepted an invitation to talk. I'll be surprised if he's there. All I've seen Francis say PUBLICLY about the draft is that he wants to win now and doesn't know much about Yao Ming. I would like to hear more about his feelings from him, rather than from someone on a message board who may or may not be an acquaintance.
