It's undoubtedly very hard for him,but it's best for to stay away. HCM is not likely going to get better. Surgery is an option for some with the obstructive type, but I'm sure the doctors would have already looked into that. Sudden death has occurred in many athletes, with it. Wish him good health and happiness.

The guy should have been a top 10 pick in the '98 draft. I was sad to see him leave the Rockets, and even more sad to see him forced into retirement.

At this point, only Cuttino can determine if it's worth the risk to make a comeback and I hope he does whatever makes him happy. You only live once, as they say.

    Get it done Morey??

I would love to have Mobley back with the Rockets. He'll definitely be more productive than SF3.

He would be great with this present team. He is a good shooter and loves the run and gun game. He would also be a veteran that could help Shane keep this team straight and focused.

I know these guys like Cutino, Reggie Lewis and more love playing basketball more than most people can understand, but there is still more to life than basketball.

I pray that Cutino will stay retired and find something else that makes him happy in this life.

I would hate to see him play again and the possibility of a tragedy that takes his life away too soon, especially in a Rockets' uniform.

Cat's situation is probably not identical to Lewis otherwise he shouldn't be playing at the Fonde. I hope Cat's diagnosis is not improved at his next exam so he doesn't come back. He's had a good run, played far longer than the average NBA player and should just enjoy his retirement.

I say we sign him... he can be a great veteran player-coach... Charlie Ward?

I hope Cat does the smart thing and not risk his health and life. If he dies, who is going to take care of Steve Francis?

i always felt like lewis went and asked for a different opinion till he heard what he wanted to hear. retiring would have sucked but i am sure he could of landed a job and the celtics,or as a broadcaster. hope mobley does the same and doesnt risk coming back.

:D :D :D He should really watch his health and only decide to make a comeback if the health issues are a thing of the past.

If the Rockets somehow bring back both Mobley and Francis, and play them atleast 10 minutes per game, then I'll yet again be a die hard Rockets fan.

Bring back the good ol' days of mediocrity.

I'd welcome the Cat. But I'm worried. The doctor said there is a possibility he could die on the court while playing. He should put his health first and enjoy retired life. All the best to whatever he does do.

Mobley really needs to think long and hard about whether a possible NBA return is work the risk of his children growing up w/o a father.

He has a serious heart condition that could kill him.

Having Mobley is a good idea but I wouldn't want to risk anything for him. His heart condition is serious and I rather have him retire other than risking his life.
