Why is mcgrady not an option? he has the best chance at making the allstar game...brooks could be able to make the three point contest

Reasoning correct for the most part, but the OP is not talking about the ASG itself.

If James White is on a roster, I expect him to be in the dunk contest. Budinger may have a chance at the rookie game if he plays a lot of minutes, but I don't expect anyone else to be there. There is no way anyone on this roster can make the all-star game.

It will be interesting to see if now, when Yao is out, our players will still have very inflated number of votes. You know, like last year, when both Battier and Scola were much closer to starting than they should have been.

But I don't see anyone making it.

Are they still doing the "make your own video" vote system for the last dunk contest participant?

Time to start campaigning for Flight White in 2010.

White in dunk contest, that´s it.
Slight chance to see Brooks in the 3pt contest.

The only player with any chance of making it for the ASG will be Tmac.

White for the Dunk comp and 1 of the rookies will be in the rookie/sop game.

Scola might get in as a coach´s choice, he won´t be ahead of Duncan nor Dirk, or even David West.

Chinese people don´t like him, last year he got less votes than Battier being clearly a better player overall last year, and league wise, there are better players.

We will have to see how scola does during the season, and if Morey get´s him some help up front because Andersen won´t scare anyone.
