God I hope this is just some Utah fan pipe dream. I want nothing to do with helping the Jazz get better.

Anyone think that maybe the rockets would trade battier during the rebuilding season, and then when he is FA next year we pick him up for not necessarily cheap but something worth his while (assuming we arent jeapordizing whichever big name FA we pursue in 2010..HOUSTON FOR D WADE!)? there is no doubt he has love for this organization and this city. Or would we just not have that kind of money?

Considering Dwade is saying Heat office to be prepared to be a contender or he will leave team, The only chance D Wade move the team next seanson would be if there is any "contender team" who is looking for Dwade for the last piece of championship.

we cannot attract DWade to be a Rocket with Jerome James, Tyrus Thomas and B- grade potential center.

Great idea, the only problem is Battier isn't a free agent next year.

Why not? He didn't exactly set the world on fire last season. He has potential, but he's already displayed knuckleheadedness with the weed in the hotel thing. Plus if he reaches his potential, what will that be? A 20 and 8 guy? Miami wants to win now, Boozer helps them in that regard. They are interested and if they get him that makes Beasley redundant.

Only player I would want from the Bulls is Noah. His length (play 4 or 5), ball handling and hustle would fit perfectly on this team.

that trade would be fine with me...

Houston trades: Carl Landry, Shane Battier, Brent Barry
Houston receives: Mark Blount, Micheal Beasley, Fesenko

    Utah trades: Carlos Boozer, Fesenko
Utah receives: Shane Battier, Carl Landry

Miami trades: Mark Blount, Micheal Beasley
Miami receives: Carlos Boozer, Brent Barry
    -------------------------------------------------------------------

After the trade buy out Blount...

    Brooks/Lowry
    T-mac/White/Taylor
    Ariza/Budinger
    Scola/Beasley/Hayes
    Andersen/Fesenko/Dorsey

Battier and Landry are worth more than Tyrus Thomas and some no name Center. Not a real trade

It's entirely possible he's a better defender than I gave him credit for(I don't watch many bulls games), but it doesn't change the fact he's really small to play the SG spot on a nightly basis. This is especially true when pairing him with brooks at the point.

Plus, the bulls weren't asking him to log extensive minutes at the two, unlike the scenario brought up here.

If it wasnt evident before, it might be now. If there was hope from some, sorry to say but that hope may be gone. Looks like a no go.

Carl Dukes just mentioned this rumor on his show. Battier/Landry going out. Tyrus Thomas/Jerome James coming in. Uggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh.

No way this is true. Isaiah Thomas might do it but not Daryl the Great.

Trying to play fan of the other teams and what those teams appear to want to do, this seems like a logical and good trade for all teams considered? I don't see where it is ridiculous in any way as long as Miami is looking to win now and really want Boozer.

It still doesn't really help us that much next year on the court, but sets us up for when/if Tmac comes back and Yao the following year. If Tmac doesn't come back we will have a glaring hole at SG, but we are going to no matter what this year anyway IMO.

I know the trade bot says it weakens our team -7 wins, but like I said we are not doing much next year most likely anyways. I think it sets us up for the future (not knowing what kind of future financial restraints/relief we would have with) with a young and extremely athletic team.

Thomas would give us some shot blocking ability.

The other teams need to get realistic already. Houston isnt desperate, we arent gonna take their scrubs for our best players to just make moves so stop making rediculous deals and start offering somthing we may actually think about Bulls fans. Battier and Landry for a non starter and 12 man isnt ever gonna happen Knicks and Bulls. We know why those teams have been desperate for years but ours just took the Champs to 7 like no one else could. Keep those rubbish players until you have real offers.
