Man both of these guys not only played like NBA players Chase and Dorsey that is. Not to mention being undefeated against more heralded rookies that I think they deserve a serious look see in our lineups. They have what it takes to win against others backups at least and maybe in Chases case against starters in scoring when open.

    chase 17.8PPG on just 22.2MPG.
i didn't watch summer league. just making statement base on the stat sheet xD
    .681&FG .727%3PG .944%FT
er.. i think that's pretty impressive regardless of the league.

dorsey plays 31MPG and avg 5 fouls per game in the summer league.
he's gonna be a foul machine in the nba.

The aussies r very big on Newley. Both days i went to summer league they were talking him up while i was outside smoking. I was unimpressed. Newley and Luennan both looked like decent 15th guys - but i would think we could do better. C-Bud was da man!

bundinger or dorsey. no one else really stood out but those two. white was solid, taylor showed flashes....but it's not a surprise that chase and joey were the best players out there.

i'm actually very impressed w/ dorsey's #'s. looks like he's got a new fire and can see some playing time in his future w/ yao out. who knows.....maybe he can develop into our own version of ben wallace! (the detroit version only need apply)

You could make a case for either Chase of Joey, although Chase statistically is the obvious choice.

But when it comes down to it, I think the Rockets' summer league coaches deserve props, since they consistently put out great performances every year with different players.

Wow I hope you are wrong about him being in the league beyond next season. At least he comes on the cheap. I def didn't expect Dirk/Scola.
But I am hoping for a solid backup in 2010. He should get the minutes to hopefully adjust to the NBA game by then

Give it to both Chase and Joey. They provided the Rockets tremendous stats whether offense or defense in route to a perfect record in the summer league. Both guys will surely be in training camp by October.
