This year, is for the Lakers to lose it, they are clearly the best team in the NBA.

He obviously has not heard about the Rockets' offseason moves.

If Odom doesn't return, it's not so clear at all. If he does, they get the benefit of the doubt.

If the Rockets can't win the championship this coming season (I'm still hoping for a miracle), then I'd love to see a healthy Celtics team vs a healthy Spurs team in the finals.

Pops will be there until he gets tired of the job! I agree with him that they should be able to advance, if everyone stays healthy. Some great off-season moves by the Spurs, dammit.

I don't think Dyess is going to be enough for their frontcourt. They need another center for the injured and slightly aging Duncan.

The spurs are my favorite to win it unless they have big time injuries. I like La alot, but lining up the matchups, i dont see how La can beat the spurs. The one thing the spurs will really have now is transition to go along with better defense. The lakers had major problems with brooks, now you put parker in that situation, its a problem. I think people are underestimating jefferson alot.

healthy Timmy + Manu + Parker = championship

no matter what offseason moves they have done.. just gettin the 3 guys healthy should do a world of difference.

Yea, I agree, but judging by what is happening what right, I giving it a pretty good chance Odom will sign that 3 years 30 mils deal. That is the best deal out there for him unless Portlands offer him the money since Milsap was match by the Jazzholes.

Maybe in 2005, but they have no chance in 2010 running with that lineup. Unless Kobe gets hurt, I dont even see them beating a healthy Boston team or the Magic

I think getting a healthy Manu would be a huge addition. last yr they didnt have him.. the year before .. Manu was playing injured.. if he gets back to normal next season. the spurs will kick ass

and mind you. Richard Jeff is underrated IMO . he is a very good player ..

just imagine jeff as your 4th scoring option. 4th!!

The question is can they all co exist in the game. We all know the three can but by adding a forth scorer, not necessary changes the outcome. Sometimes, distraction can come from someone who is deemed to help. As usual, injuries play a major part on a teams success.

    C: Antonio McDyess
    PF: Tim Duncan
    SF: Richard Jefferson
    SG: Manu Ginobili
    PG: Tony Parker

That is a fantastic lineup, I think they have a very good shot at a title. McDyess is kinda old but is better than anything else they have right now. Personally, I would like them to bring back Gooden.

lol...Let the dream begin...David Anderson has been significantly underrated and he plays like the second coming of Sabonis, only younger and more athletic. AB becomes the second coming of AI with better passing ability. Scolandry continue to produce at a 25/13 level and Wafer comes back to score 15 PPG. Battier continues to provide defense and leadership. Yao comes back at the end of the season and plays like an MVP. And here comes the 2010 Champion :D

if you are hinting at chemistry, Spurs have always been organization free of such issues. Pop is a fab coach and he always has the respect of his players. and Jeff is not a chemistry killer. so i dont think it will be a problem. I think spurs just have to get their defense sorted out. once that happens. .they would be fab

I have to admit that spurs are my second fav team. after rockets. spurs executing their game on the floor is a thing of beauty to watch. amazing basketball..
