    are you kidding? the FINAL offer will be the offer that communist goven stick into their A$$. that is the FINAL OFFER! not the one they will make. this sure looks like nothing going to work!

    Isn't this the 5th time that Ming isn't coming for sure?:confused:

    I keep hearing that one snag or another is the one to break the deal off with China and the Sharks. Then things start to look rosier than ever.

    It would make good soap-opera material.

    Anyone remember when only a few weeks ago, Shanghai was tellin' Houston to not even bother coming? Or, a week before that, the Sharks were claiming Eric Zhang wasn't anybody's agent? Or, a few weeks before that, when Yao Ming only worked out for Chicago and New York privately, and then only went through the motions in the public workout?

    This new phase in the relationship is the closest we've been, ever. The idea that it means Yao's not coming "for sure" is just laughable.
