Did Q have a bad workout, or get busted for drugs or something? Early on he was a lock for a lottery pick (top 5) and now espn's predicting he'll slip out of the top 15?! Not that that really means anything, but I'm curious why they think he's slipping so much? I know Dunleavy's entry didn't help him along with the rise of other players. I would expect Butler to be dropping with his pathetic show of strength recently. Assuming ESPN's correct about the slide, do we pass him (Q) up and take Nachbar? I say take Q. Woods, I thought we might have to trade up to get him. Is he a bust? What the hell's going on?
I really don't think he is as good as people said he was. He played in a Jr. College just like Kedrick Brown who did nothing last year. If I could choose between Woods or Nachbar I would pick Woods, and look to trade him. I don't see him getting passed up by the Wizards at 11 though.
I think that he was overrated as well but I think that he will become an incredible player over time. I think that we have a very real shot at him if we are willing to make a sacrifice fuch as KT and the 15. Trust me this would pan out for us. By the way we do not need Stoudamire EG is going to be a super star power forward he and Steve Francis are our best players by far. At least potentially speaking they are our best. Our team could be very complete if we pull this move. The thing that really concerns me is our depth we need to start giving some of our players a reason to have confidence by playing them (Torres, Tmo). We won't be finals bound this year and need to be careful with how much pressure we put on Ming. We should be willing to wait another 2 years but expect to see results this year. In conclusion yes we have a shot at him and yes he would be a risk but for the #15 pick how could we not take a player who is amazing and just not prepared as Q is?
