do we really know that he doesn't have experience doing this surgery, or that anyone out there really can be called experienced in this surgery? I'm sure he'll have the necessary support, i dont expect Yao and his people or the rockets will take the surgery lightly

Man, I have cursed this guy more times than I can remember for letting punks push him around under the basket. But damned if he isn't the soul of decency and hard work. I wish him the best for a full recovery.

I wouldn't let the Rocket's team doctor even get near the hospital where the surgery will be performed.
Personally, after this injury is fixed, it is only a matter of time before the next. I believe we are dealing with some basic laws of physics here. This is likely the end of Yao's career and that is not undo pessimism.

i'm guessing the foot he keeps re-injuring takes a specific amount of force/stress from his moves, maybe pushes off of it more, pivots with it more etc..

    Clanton started in 2004-05 season.

The next season, he operates on Dion Glover and Bob Sura. They never came back.

Yao Ming and McGrady also missed huge chunks of every season after those incidents. These were 80-82 games players, before he touched them. They were fantasy studs for their track record of consecutive games played.

I am sure the websites asked Yao. Morey can't dictate what doctor Yao goes to. If Yao goes to anybody but Z's doctor he's an idiot. This is his career and he needs to go the best surgeon he can. I don't trust Clanton like many around here.

So much for Yao coming back to team up with T-mac and an young and up-and-coming Rockets squad to make a push late in the season.

The only websites I have seen so far have posted comments from unknown sources or the writer.

If you can provide a chinese website that asked Yao, I'll eat crow gladly. :D

So he will be back healthy at the age of 30.

Hopefully he has a good 4 years left in him by then.

It makes no sense that Clanton is performing these surgeries other than he is the Rockets guy. Cmon Yao/Rockets brass! You have to go with your best option, which is the proven option...Big Z's doc. I am very disappointed they are not going that route. It's like they aren't taking this seriously. If Yao hurts his foot again, I am done with him on this team.

LMFAO Yao can be out for the season and its good luck Yao blah blah blah but McGrady is out guys are saying trade is injury "bleep" this this and that. He is injury prone blah blah blah. LOL Ohhhh man its funny. How about true fans trade both The Brittle Yao and "Knee" jerk T'Mac so the Rockets won't have to deal with injury prone stars

I wish the doctor who did Big Z's surgery would do it instead.

Yao was a 80-82 game a season guy before Clanton but Mcgrady has been injury prone (back) since his Orlando days.
