I like CP3, but I'm not sure it would be worth the bad contracts NO would ask a team to take with them.

I could see a trade working out with Portland...

Blazers get their starting point guard....

And Hornets get a big TE plus Kopenen, Freeland, this years 2nd rounders, and maybe Fernandez and/or some other current player(s)....

    CP3 for a TE, some fillers, Fernandez & a 2nd rounder??

    ....

While you're at it, why not trade for Kobe by giving up Outlaw, 2 more benchwarmers, and next year's 2nd rounder.

The fakers don't have financial problems...

But now that you've got me thinking, you are right that NO would balk at such a deal - but for another reason.......they'd probably want to part with Paul only if they were able to package some of their bad contracts along with him...

These n00bs coming out of the woodwork is hilarious.

    What the **** is this?

I feel like I'm swatting at flies here.

The guy put a thread in the wrong forum, I get sick of that ****, you n00bs haven't been around long enough to know how I treat most of the posters on this forum

Of course this isn't my life. This is a hobby, 50,000 posts is no life. :p

We who want this place to be a good Rockets forum are trying to explain to people how to properly do things here. I came back from my morning jog with my wife hopped up on energy pills, I check the GARM and see somebody put a thread in the wrong forum for 1,000,000th time and I acted harshly.

He owned his mistake, and he did it with humility so I gave him rep points and apologized privately.

You n00bs keep trying to rally for the guy though, its a non-issue for the rest of us.

    Good day, n00bs.

I'll up that ante. I'd stop my moneyball complaints stone cold. Unfortunately, I'm in no danger of that.

the Simmons article trade still makes a lot of sense.

McGrady, Battier, Landry and Brooks for Paul, Peja and Chandler.

    Our lineup

    Paul / Lowry
    Ariza / Taylor
    Peja / Buddinger
    Scola / Dorsey
    Chandler / Anderson

That is a pretty deep and talented team and imagine if Yao comes back healthy.

I don't think Peja is starting material anymore. Chase or somebody else would start at the 3 or move Ariza to the 3 and start Paul with Lowry or another 2.

I haven't read through this thread so pardon me if I'm repeating someone else. My take is that CP3 saying this publicly is his way of giving the Hornets permission to make a trade. He knows the future of this franchise is not promising and would welcome a trade almost anywhere else.

When the Hornets attempted the rescinded trade of Tyson Chandler to the Thunder, it knocked the wind out of that team.

I'd gut the team to get CP3. Longshot or not...what else have I got to do while we're waiting/salivating for the Rockets to make a move.

Any the forum protocol should be left to the mods. Seems like every post that goes up gets bashed for the first three pages for not being in the right place, being a duplicate of a previous thread, etc etc etc. I don't care if someone has 50,000 posts...that doesn't mean you're the master of the internet, or the Rockets #1 fan. I think it means you spend more time on Clutch and that's about it. Lay off.

Im not sure what is funnier.....

    moe tweaking at rookies

    or

your complete inability to see the obvious tweaking, and THEN doubing the word of someone who has actually seen moe do this kind of stuff many many times.

How bout taking *my* word for it.....he is TOTALLY messing with you and the rookies that are responding to him.

/me deducts $50 from your next check for making me explain you :p

Trading for T-mac won't help the hornets get under the cap because T-mac's salary would count against it and keep them in luxury tax range - not sure if the insurance transfers to the new team.

    T-mac isn't movable until:

    1. He returns and demonstrates he can play and be valuable to some team.
    2. The trading deadline approaches and teams would only have to take on less than half of his remaining salary.

In my opinion, if New Orleans is going to move Chris Paul, then there's no point in keep the franchise in New Orleans. They might as well just move to Austin or something.

    Morey's a genius. Not a magician.

Paul's skill in basketball is up there with the LeBron James and Kobe Bryants of the world.

You think the Rockets have enough to trade for LeBron/Kobe right now?

Sure Paul isn't a dominant scorer, but he's better than Steve Nash already, at like, what, 23?

The Rockets will be in lottery land probably after next year. I am curious what they'll get for T-Mac. But CP3? HAH.
