But, I could see Morey looking to trade either Taylor or Budinger right now. As it is, the Rockets only have room for 1 of either Taylor or Budinger on their team. Sure there is Cook, Barry, and white who could be cut, but all three have guaranteed deals that are very NBA friendly for cap reasons; too valuable to cut so soon. Cook - 1 year 3.5 million Barry - 1 year 2 million James - 2 years 2 million So, the Rockets could be smart and send Taylor or Budinger to the European league if they can't trade one or the other, or make enough room for both via trade.
I trust sina.com as much as trust clutchfans.net. Both can break news occasionally but most of the time both are filled with garbage rumors, fake insiders and meaningless threads most of the time.
It's a damn shame we have to pay Cook 3.5 million dollars to ride the bench this year. His NBA career will officially be over one year from now.
This is a real question: Can anyone tell me why this guy can post a thread, and I can not? I contributed $ to clutchfans, I've been a member for a little bit, all my comment have been in the relatively constructive-ballpark. I've emailed Clutch 3 times with no response. Love this board, want to contribute more (of me thoughts)!
For the life of me, I cannot figure out why people are so enamored with Gortat. He's averaged like 3 points, and 3 rebounds throughout his career and the playoffs. He had one notable game in the playoffs, and all of the sudden he's worth the MLE?
No. Budinger has a good future ahead of him. If we trade him we are making the Magic better. Personally I don't think Gortat is all that good. Didn't he say somewhere that he didn't want the pressure of feeling in for Yao. We don't want a weakminded person. We want a person who will believe anything can happen. You must have the heart of a champion, but the mind of a beast. Plus we have David Andersen. Gortat was being overrated the past few weeks.
Ariza performed wayyyyyy better than him during the playoffs and some people on here (I won't be a sore winner and call out names) like DD and co were flaming mad when Morey gave Ariza a deal
Wrong. They matched an offer sheet rather than just re-signing him, so they can't do it within 30 days. Sign and trades are not allowed after matching an offer sheet.
First of all i wouldn't do the T-Mac for Steven Jackson, Corey M, or a future pick...Y well because ur basecally only getting 1 for 1, corey is always hurt i mean i really wouldnt mind having jackson i like his game hes a solid player but not tmac for jackson...anyways, I dont understand y ppl are so high on this Gortat guy, hes trash, because he gets a couple of rebounds and averages 4.3 point per game goes to the finals doesnt make him good...i seen him play live hes garbage, that explains y the rockets werent offering much, he was a panic signing and im glad the rockets didnt sign him.Now their one rumor that iknow and im about 94% sure it will happen. Budinger,Battier, Brooks to Portland for Rudy, Bayless and future 2st round pick...that is because portlan got their heart broken after jazz match their offer to millsap... Lets wait n see what happens :].... Im a real close source trust me ;]
I have no idea why this guy has thread starting capability(He certainly doesn't deserve them), but you have to understand that this doesn't generally help your cause. You only have 20 posts, so you really can't make a good case that you deserve member status. It takes a while for Clutch to change your status to contributing. Clutch also does not read every email, or respond. It is possible you got lost in the shuffle, because it does happen, but go check out some of the threads in the feedback forum to learn something about becoming a contributing member.
Apologies for including my question in this thread. I've had conflicting information about how to get posting privileges from different folks. I'll buckle down and do a little more research. But, I specifically recall being told that if you contribute $ you would get privileges, all you needed to do was alert clutch. I know clutch is busy, so I'm not really bothered, I just was pretty shocked that this guy posted today. Anyway back to a real post: This guy is an idiot! Salaries don't match, Gortat can't be traded until December, Gortat is worth more than a second round pick to Orlando and they could get more for him than Chase. Chase is looking good, but it's Summer league. At this point I don't know if all the GMs who passed him up are convinced they're wrong. Summer league doesn't mean much. He may have moved up a few slots on their board, but not enough to get a guy that had 5 teams fighting over him at $3-6M per year. If Chase pulls out of the gate well and starts earning minutes, I doubt the Rockets will trade him. He's an intriguing player with a very hard upsize to judge. Love to see what he does with some coaching.
