CP3 is a great player, but I don't care for his cheap-shot character. I'd rather watch AB and KL develop. Of course, if we trade Mac for him, team character might actually improve...

Man y'all posted way too many cry baby posts on a thread that probably won't get deleted. Just be patient! If Paul gets dealt I would think the Lakers (via Bynum) or the Blazers will land him. Ya seriously. The Lakers.

If all the Hornets are interested in is clearing a bunch of space, could we convince them to take McGrady for CP3+Peja? Surely another team has a better offer out there.

The Hornets clear 26 million of cap space after this season just like that.

Ok ... guess we could throw in Aaron Brooks too. :)

Keep Tmac until they decide to deal him. I think Tmac's salary could be the most powerful armor we got for next season.

If we trade him before the season, isn't it true that the Hornets wouldn't even have to be pay most of his salary this year? I thought I heard something about insurance handling most of his salary this year, should he miss a majority of the season.

Even more incentive for the Hornets to deal with us. :D

If we throw in Brooks, I think it would be Tracy + Brooks for Devin Brown (filler) + Chandler + Chris Paul + Cash.

People are overreacting. Where did it say in the article that the Hornets are looking to trade him? A reporter probably asked him, "Do you think the Hornets will trade you?" He wouldn't have replied, "no, it's impossible," given the team's financial troubles, plus it would have sounded arrogant. He just said it's possible, doesn't mean it's likely at all. They'll exhaust their trade options for Chandler, West, and Peja before they even consider trading Paul.

Wrong forum right forum doesn't matter I want him to be talked about in this forum as a Rocket.

We should work on getting this done. Deal McGrady now since his insurance will be paying NO for at least half the season. We may take back more bad contracts but you always pay a price when dealing for a superstar.

I'm sure Morey will be able to work with that anyways.

I agree, it's a huge long shot. But I hope the Rockets can at least inquire about it. Bill Simmons wrote something about it a short while ago, and he's apparently good friends with Morey. They're email buddies. The Rockets can give up Tracy and whichever younger players the Hornets like, and we take Paul and whatever bad contracts they have. That would be the gist of the trade. If money really is that big a concern for them, perhaps there's a glimmer of hope that we can pull it off.

Thank God you're not GM you'd put AB and Lowry on the floor over CP3.

    What a doof! :p
