Apparently was hurt a little hustling down the line to 1st base on that play in the last inning.

    Hopefully it's nothing serious

    great win.

over .500 for the first time this season - 89 games in. that's craziness. i need tim kurkjian to tell me how rare of a feat that is and when it last happened.

I try with all my power not to be superstitious but I post in game threads pretty much every single game and the last 2 times I was busy and couldn't post, the Astros shutout their opponent (Wandy's CG and Moehler's start before the break). So I decided not to post tonight and sure enough the Astros shutout the Dodgers. I have no choice but not to post until the streak ends. I post too much anyways so that's probably a good thing. :D

What the hell is this. They just showed the highlights on sportscenter and they didn't show a single astros scoring play. The astros got some defensive plays shown and they just showed all of Mannys at bats instead. Damn Bspn.

I was wondering where you went as I know you're detailed when play starts regarding the 'Stros. Been busy studying and kept checking to read your posts but that explains the brief absence.

Do you seriously expect anything else?

I reached my breaking point with ESPN a couple months ago and I never watch it anymore. It's the most redundant pile of crap TV ever. Brett Favre, LeBron James, Mannywood, Brett Favre, LeBron James, Mannywood, Brett Favre, LeBron James, Mannywood, Brett Favre, LeBron James, Mannywood

Wow... did anybody see Randy Wolf going off in the dugout?

I don't think they showed anything or talked about it on the FSNH telecast. I just watched MLBN's recap of the game (Dodger telecast) and they showed Wolf fuming, grabbing a bat then going down the steps to the locker room or whatever is down there. I think it was a bat boy that peaked around the corner then quickly did a 180 and scooted back to safety. Then they showed another clip of Wolf sitting on the bench (probably a few minutes after the bat incident) and he turned around, grabbed a bag of seeds and hurled it in front of him. He was still fuming and cursing or whatever... I knew he was pissed when Torre pulled him but I didn't know he was that pissed.

Did not see that. But no need for Wolf to get mad. Its ok Wandy outdueled him and we won. Only one loss for the Dodgers (well 3 more losses on the way :p ) and theyre still the best team in baseball record wise.

i think it's a great signing, and i was a proponent of us doing it before the season started, but i guess the timing is wrong for the astros to have entertained that right now, what with our recent 6-man rotation of studs and all.

i can't imagine that brian moehler could possibly be that much better that pedro martinez (yes, i realize that moehler has been good recently). i guess a lot of teams have scouted pedro and determined that he doesn't have it anymore, but i refuse to believe that there are 160 starting pitchers better than him. it seems that perspective is lost when you are talking about one-time studs falling from grace and becoming a shell of their former selves. why is pedro pitching at a 5 era different than anybody else with a 5 era?

he was hurt last year, says he's healthy now, is getting paid nothing, and isn't all that far removed from being one of the greatest pitchers of all time. seems like low enough risk and high enough upside to me. if i were other serious contenders with possible holes in my rotation, it would bother the hell out of me that the reigning champs are the ones who took a shot on him.

Great game by the pitching staff. The double plays saved their arse last night. Roy's been pitching great, and will put this team 2 games over .500 tonight.
