What kind of credibility does that site have? It looks like just a fan's blog to me.

Is this a joke? How reliable is this source? And btw, Al's jersey is not retired, that was obviously a joke.

They dont mean his number is retired in the Rafters they mean they want him to give up his number and change it so Mcgrady can wear it.

I dunno how I would feel about this though...

One hand the swingman positions are pretty much filled. But the contracts are horrid for both Jackson and Maggette.

Also, if this happened, I would ask for an unconditional draft pick for 2010...if they want to pawn off their long term contracts on us, then dammit, make us REALLY want the deal.

Agreed. Only thing intriguing about this is the draft pick, to me. . cause if it's not lottery-protected we're gonna have a nice draft next year! This is probably not even true, but Jackson is a head case and Maggette is a bigger ball-stopper and a lazier defender than McGrady.

I'm indifferent to this trade, if it were happen, but highly doubt it since the Warriors just blindly hand out bad contracts which is completely against DM's standards. While we could get better immediately, we need to see what T-Mac's got (left) and decide from there. Houston just isn't a hot spot for free agents to land. I just don't see a superstar talent (Wade, Bosh) of the 2010 FA class coming here along with the fact that the cap is dropping next season.

LOL I know right? He left on bad terms. Maybe somebody else wore number 3 there? Weird. Very weird...

Surprised this trade wasn't brought to the table earlier. Had GSW proposed it before Yao got hurt I could actually see DM doing it.

Now if they could somehow trade Biedrens to PHX, we get Maggette/Barbosa/Richardson and Amare, and PHX gets Landry, Budinger, Morrow, whatever... it could be a franchise changing transaction for us.

Turiaf?....thats pretty umm as your name says imo stupid. We already have two good power fowards that do everything he can and have just as much heart and spunk

To the other poster that said that we need a 2, i'm pretty sure jackson played plenty of two in GS and even better he's a pretty decent playmaker, plays defense, and has an all around game

I would have to think long and hard about this deal bc I don't really see them as rocket-type characters who try hard, work hard every night and aren't problematic off the court

While I dont completely agree with this (last year at least) I would still stay no.

I think the expiring is worth more then those two. Although I believe Jackson would be back home I dont see a move like this increasing our odds at the end.

Now if he made it Andris Biedrins plus a filler then I would say yes. Have a good center which we can move to the PF later on down the road. Just a thought.
