Time to put the Francis and Cat not wanting Ming talk to rest:

Forget the rumblings about Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley being unhappy with taking a guy that's going to take a couple of years to develop. They're on board. Unless there's a dramatic governmental shift in the next 48 hours, Houston and Yao are an item.- Aldridge

Check it out for yourselves right here.

Maybe the Doc brought back pictures of Yao's 'package', so now the two boys aren't so intimidated.

LOL, I just got to mr_gootan's post. Can't get the image out of my head. (And I'd *really* like to!)

Something substantial like this, as opposed to the canards that have been coming our way, deserves another look.

    *bump*

An Odom for Snow swap?? LOL. Some of us were willing to give the#1 up for Lamar. I think a future #1/KT may do the trick.

    11. Washington Wizards: Another team looking for a three, but the Wiz don't appear sold on Woods and may be zeroing in on another Benetton forward -- one who actually played this past season -- 6-8 Bostjan Nachbar. Washington seriously coveted forward Vladmir Radmonovic last season, but couldn't pull off a deal to get a mid-first rounder to take him. They may think Nachbar is this year's Radmonovic. But it's not a done deal. Late workouts this weekend with Nachbar, Jeffries and Woods may tell the tale once and for all. And if the Wiz get cold feet on Nachbar, don't be shocked if they try to move down.

If Aldridge is right, then we have a good opportunity to move up to 11, if we want.

We can package 15 and 37 to move up to 11. Wizards need players, and the 37 pick in this draft has a good chance of making their pitiful squad better.

Then take the 11 and KT/MoTay/Cato or Mooch and move up to nab Butler or even Wagner, if he slips. (I'd say or Tskita, but that's unlikely)

Butler obviously starts for us at SF.

But - If we got Wagner, look out. We have just re-assembled the Thomas/Dumars/Johnson trio of 2002. All we need is the bruisers down low . . .

    I'm so hyped I can't stand it.

It was good to hear someone else say that Cat & Francis are on board with the Rockets taking Ming...

Aldridge lost all credibility by posting this ridiculous rumor. Who in their right mind would take Eric freakin Snow in exchange for Lamar Odom!?

Say what you want about Aldridge, but he usually doesn't throw out trade scenarios on a whim a la Peter Vescey, so I'll actually give this rumor a little credence.

Remember, like all rumors, this could be serious or just something thrown around.

But if it is true, :p .

The Clips must be getting a little desperate to move Odom.

The Clips need a PG not another SF. They already have Miles and Magette(sp?).

I do agree that it does not seem like much to trade Snow for Odom but it may be more a sign of how desperate the Clips are to get rid of Odom than the Clips coveting Snow.

Does KT + 15 for Odom really sound worst than Snow for Odom?

If I had to choose, I would take KT+15. I could have some depth in the front court and use the 15 plus my other picks and try to move up and get the best PG available...but that just me.

    Aldridge: Nachbar, naturally?

Nachbar might trade his Benetton duds for Wizards' wear.
On June 20, ESPN's David Aldridge produced his mock draft. Here's an excerpt involving the Wizards: "Another team looking for a three, but the Wiz don't appear sold on Qyntel Woods and may be zeroing in on another Benetton forward -- one who actually played this past season -- 6-8 Bostjan Nachbar. Washington seriously coveted forward Vladmir Radmonovic last season, but couldn't pull off a deal to get a mid-first rounder to take him. They may think Nachbar is this year's Radmonovic. But it's not a done deal. Late workouts this weekend with Nachbar, Jared Jeffries and Woods may tell the tale once and for all. And if the Wiz get cold feet on Nachbar, don't be shocked if they try to move down."

I think he was referring to the Wiz working Nachbar out.
