Brooks / Lowrey = Bobby Jackson / Mike Bibby. One slasher, one play maker. Battie / Ariza = Christie. Defensive stopper with 3 point shot. Budinger = Peja. Three point shooter, good passer, not much D. Scolandry = CWeb. Power Forward who can rebound and score inside. Anderson = Divac. Center who can hit a jumper and make passes from the high post. Of course we are a downgrade in almost every position. However I do think we are getting players who can fit into that offense.
That's been the whole point of Morey's drafting and dealing, get players that fit the motion offense.
If that's the intention, I'm perfectly fine with it. Rick Adelman's Kings teams were incredibly fun to watch, and I rooted for them.
HOLD ON, let me get this right. Did you really put Ariza on the bench, lol, you really had Battier starting over Ariza. You think Ariza left the Lakers and their offer to come to the Rockets and Ride the bench. The only person in your lineup that can actually create his own shot is Aaron Brooks, and we need a starting pg who is willing to pass up his shots to set up his team mates. Lowry should be starting pg
Starting lineup: Brooks Ariza Battier Scola Andersen/Hayes Scola will be out go to man in the paint. Thats what i see as a stating lineup at this point.
Battie and Ariza will both start with the players we have now. I am just pointing out how our players compare to the Kings players. I can see Budinger getting 20 minutes a game if he shows something in the preseason. We need another scorer out there. I can also see us trading Battier for a scoring 2 guard, since Ariza makes him redundant.
I hate when people say this! Why in the hell would a PG pass up a bad shot just to try and set up his teammates? It doesn't make sense. What AB needs to do is learn how to make the correct play not pass scoring opportunities. Which in this next season will be displayed whether or not he has learned how to become the fascilitator on this team. I believe in him and I think he's a good playmaker he just needed time to develop, as all youngsters do, and mature. Let the game slow down for him and he'll be special. He's becoming special.
As long as Morey is GM, the only way the Rockets will end in Draft Lottery, is if they got the pick in a trade
I've loved the him since he was drafted. No homo. What is there not to like? He is explosive, has athleticism (major hops), is extremely quick and has a great J. The only drawback is his height and that's probably one of the only reasons he wasn't a lottery pick, IMO.
He's not wrong. If AB has a good shot, why not take it? Adelman would be furious if he didn't (and has been in the past).
