With all the injurys on Tracy McGrady, it seems like he's the one to be traded. Last season T-mac was horrible and the years before that he's been on and off from injury. All I can say is be patient and wait until McGrady comes back because we'll be a very good team. Worst comes to worst we can sign a huge free agent in 2010, so no need to trade for a long term contract right now.

I can't wait for him to join the line-up. He WILL have a few 40 point games this season.
At this stage, my feeling is that there is a better than 50-50 chance that McGrady plays for the Rockets this year. I wouldn't be surprised if McGrady isn't traded at all, in fact, and we make a push for the playoffs with him being the leading scorer on the team at season's end.
I'm on you with this, I'm going to wait patiently for tmac. I'm really hoping he can make a comeback and be our go to guy again.
If the Rockets can't unload him without taking on outrageously bad contracts in return, they should just waive him.
If the news is true that he is already stepping on the court, he will be back playing for the rockets by December, and it's anybody's guess how he'll play. Personally I agree with you and I think he'll the leading scorer and assist guy like normal.
Same feeling and I'm not averse to it either. I think we'll see major changes in his attitude and game. The Rockets Front Office is too smart to simply let him go without getting their money's worth from him in some way or the other.
Dayum. When dude is healthy, he is a silencer on the road. If I remember correctly that was one of the first games of the adelman era. I think he can fit in to the system because he can shoot long range, post up, and pass from anywhere on the court. He's pretty lethal coming off screens from the elbow too and that's a staple of the Adleman offense. If he can just be 80 percent of what that tmac was in that video, i'd be satisfied.
That was actually the first time he was actually REALLY healthy. That season though he got really messed up and messed up his shoulder (surgery this offseason) and knee (surgery this offseason)
It's a win-win because he could come back and contribute very effectively to this teams style of play, he's also very motivated and working with miracle man Tim Grover. I except to see him sometime at the start of December maybe even earlier, but if he comes back slow and terrible, it's best to keep his contract until it expires, considering that 24 million will be HUGE in signing a 2010 free agent, or you could possibly find a destination to ship off his contract for a key contributing player, like I said, win-win situation. Waving him is the stupidest and most idiotic thing I've every heard addressed to his situation, just the worst idea ever.
We are officially averaging 1 Save a Tmac thread per day. I careless if he stays or goes meaning save for an expiring or trade for something of value or dont trade at all. I do care if he plays though meaning I'd rather not see it at all. While you guys have faith in him coming back, hah, I will have faith in you guys. I really dont know what it means I'm just getting tired of seeing thread after thread, same stuff different wording (even worse when its the same wording). /sigh
TMac will not be able to contribute when he comes back, case in point all the players that have had the kind of surgery TMac had takes them 2 years to get back to playing with confidence and with some of their game back. I wish it were not the case but TMac has a hard task to get back to playing again. I wish he him the best but it seems he will not be really ready till 2010-2011 season. I hope the Rockets can get something for TMac but it seems very unlikely.
Can someone refresh my memory on what happened during that game you showed the highlights of? meaning who won the game? Can you also tell how many points in the 4th quarter McGrady scored? Why do people care about 40 point games? I don't. I care about the Rockets winning.
The Rockets are a team without any big men, I'll take some bad contracts with some bigs for Tmac. It's not like we'll win a championship with him, he ain't Kobe.
McGrady was exhausted that game. Nobody else stepped up in the 4th. Utah was relentless on defense against McGrady. His injuries were acting up. Don't forget Alston, Battier, and McGrady all went under the knife immediately following that series. That said... man I don't know why I even said that. I guess everyone defends him at one point.
You have to look out for our long term interests though. There's no reason to shackle yourself with bad longterm deals.
