Windandsea has posted that Ming has some concerns and hopes of feeling a sense of brotherhood on the Rockets. And I just thought that maybe you guys could think of some ways that his new Rockets teammates and coaches could help him feel welcome into their brotherhood.

Take him to the alley behind the Compaq Center and show him how to "light it up" on and off the court..:D

the team and our coaches should all learn 1 positive phrase each, like "nice job" or "great game"in chinese.

then we would have like 20 phrases that would inspire him. and when he screws up he wont understand the negative comments.

its perfect. print it. send it out.

    Hope this helps... ;)

    Beginner

    Dunk it!
    Guan4!

    Shoot it!
    Sir4!

    Stuff him!
    Gai4-Ta1!

    It's all you, big guy!
    Chuan2-Kao4-Ni2-Le1! Lao3-Da4!

    Sweet assist!
    Shen2-Chi2-Zhu4-Gong1!

    Intermediate

Why the hell do they bother jumping?!
    Ta1-Men2-Ran4-Tiao4-Gan4-Ma2?!

Send that back to his mother!
    Jiao4-Ta1-Hwei2-Jia1-Zhao3-Ma1-Ma1!

What a magnificent 40-pt game! You one bad-ass mofo!
    kuan2-kan3-si4-shi2-fen1, Ru2-Ru4-Wu2-Ren2-Zhi1-Jing4!

    Sweet pass to Cuttino!
    Tsuan2-Gay3-Muo4-Bu4-Li2-De1-Cho1-Tai4-Miao4-Le1!

Nice alley-oop to Francis! You two are unstoppable!
(Sorry I really don't know how to say alley-oop in Chinese, help me out here!)
    Gay3-Fa3-Ran2-Si1-Shi1-Guan4-De1-Miao4-Chuan2-Tai4-Jing1-Ren2-Le1! Ni3-Men2-Liang3-Jen1-Shi4-Tian1-Sia4-Wu2-Di2!

    Advanced

Hot damn! Was that a move from 'Slam Dunk'/'NBA 2K2'?!
    Tian1-Nah1! Na4-Shi4-Tsong2-Guan4-Lan2-Gao1-Shou3 (En-Bee-A-Ling2-Er4)-Lai2-De1-Ma2?!

Shaq must be still looking for the ball you swatted into the Pacific ...
    O-Ne-Er-hai2-zai4-tai4-ping2-yang2-zhao3-ta1-de1-cho2...

The opposing team really should just hand you the ball instead of trying to shooting it.
    Beh2-Dwei4-Yao4-Sir4-Cho2-Bu4-Ru2-Gan1-Tsui4-Zhi2-Jie1-Gay3-Ni3-Cho2-Jiou4-Hao3-Le1.

The refs are blind! That move was a pure work of art!
    Tsai2-Pan4-Sia1-Le1! Wei2-Mei3-I4-Shu4-Ta1-Men2-Kan4-Bu4-Dong3...

(for the chinese out there, sorry for mixing up the wade-giles and romanisation, it's purely to make it easier to read...)

I am sorry, I just had to reply to this thread because I was LMAO at the title of this thread! Great title! :)

Ming seems pretty easy going and seems to have a good attitude. I think he will get along great with the Rockets. He just wants to "fit in" and is not going to come in here trying to be the savior but rather just be a piece of the puzzle. I think once the guys practice together and work together they will get to know him more and their Yao Yao Brotherhood bonds will get stronger ;)

Brotherhood will come when we win.

If Stevie and Co have half a brain, they will welcome Ming with hugs of his ankles, shins and knees the minute the he swats the layup attempt of _____ (insert name of any perimeter player in the NBA) that just blew through our alleged defense.

I have never seen a single tape, video stream or written transcript of a CBA game, but I guarantee you that Ming has never seen ups like Francis and quicks like Mobley. Ya, I think he'll like it here.

Our boys just have to remember to get Ming 10 shots a game.
