He is better than having no center at all. Pick him up and if things do not work out, Morey can try and package him in a trade of some kind.

Well, there's one of the reasons why you're not an NBA GM.

If he could teach Joey Dorsey anything, Id consider the vet minimum.

The man fell off after leaving Detroit, his defense is good, but if I had to choose between him and Chuck Hayes, despite Wallace having the better height, Hayes plays the better defense these days. Both Wallace and Hayes are undersized defensive specialists, so really they are more luxury then they are team changers and no telling if dude would be able to teach as well as he plays.

If you watched Ben Wallace play at all in the last two season you would never mention him and Chuck Hayes in the same sentence. Actually, you would not mention Ben Wallace and the word "defense" in the same sentence. He does not give the Cavs anything on the court including defense. He doesn't even belong in the league at this point in his career.

I've heard of Wallace possibly playing for like the vet min and such. For half our MLE, I'd sign him in a heartbeat! I've never been a Ben Wallace fan... but that's just too much value for the money! Anderson, Wallace and Dorsey or Hayes, I believe would make a more than reasonable tandem to cover the center position.

Ive said all along that Ben is our only other good option for a center, now that we have anderson and if we can get Ben to back him up we should be pretty good this year until TMac gets back that is if he doesnt get trded...think about it

I am one of those people who believe that the thing that made Big Ben great (and he was great) was his athleticism. At almost 35 years old, you don't have that step in your jump anymore. I don't think he was effective at all the past couple of years. There is a reason he was averaging 12 mpg in this past postseason. MAYBE at the vet min as a leader. But I think he is going to either retire or go to a contending team.
