He's 30 and the lakers have offered him more than any other team will or can, he's an idiot for not taking the offer. 3 years 10 million, 4 years 34 million are good offers.

Lamar is indeed an idiot for turning down that kind of money.

I wonder what Cuban can offer him? That is a bad move on the Lakers part though if they are gonna make Odom and his Agent crawl back to them and beg for the former offers. That could insult one or both and backfire in Odom sign elsewhere. I think that would officially end the Lakers reign as Champions without Odom there as well as Ariza. Artest is real good but not Odom and Ariza good.

If Buss just ends talks so drastically in that fashion.. I'm sure they have something in mind.

Two names, Latrell Sprewell and Bonzi Wells. Maybe they can give Lamar some advice on what to do.

MLE unless the Lakers do a SnT with the Mavs. The Mavs already expended their fringe players in the SnT to get Marion and would have to cut meat to do another SnT, don't see that happening. Odom and his people better get over it, LA's offer is the best one their going to get.

odom is not a 6'5" sg/sg (bonzi/sprewell). he's a 6'11 guy who can play all 5 positions. and he just won a ring. so he deserves the 10m. turk got 38m/4yr from toronto and i consider lamar a bit better than him

and the laker offer was 27m/3yrs. i think he's concerned that after 3 years, he wont get an offer more than the mle anymore. only offers he might get then are part of the mle or even vet minimum. just look at iverson. so he wants to squeeze the most out of his contract now.

i think this is the best time for any team out there to grab odom away from the lakers. since the lakers didnt do a SnT for artest, they dont have their MLE anymore. and if a team snatches odom without an SnT, lakers will have lost Ariza and Odom and only got Artest in return. and theyre already over the LT. i doubt they can defend their championship then.

i hope odom feels disrespected by the lakers like ariza and signs for any team for the MLE. portland and memphis should go after the guy.

He was overpriced by the Lakers.

He'll get lose several more millions on the open market. I don't see him getting more than the MLE from any team for 5 years.

Turk got 53M for 5 years. You have a point, Lamar maybe the better player and should get as good a contract as Hedo. Hedo is probably the reason Odom is pissed at the Lakers offer.

If they made a move for Odom, my guess is they would then turn around and look to deal Howard for help at the 5.

Although He is not a center, how about Boozer for Howard?

Wouldn't be a bad deal for either team, but I think Utah's main objective for moving Boozer is to get under the cap to resign Millsap. I don't know if that trade helps accomplish that. Nice deal though.

Another lame attempt to proclaim how Artest is not going to mesh with his new LA teammates. As others have already pointed out, they know each other well and played together before.

    Nice try though.

If the Mavs offer something close to it, wouldn't that money go farther here in Texas anyway. Rumor is Miami is also talking.

This would be a dream come true for me if he leaves L.A. They are all so certain they will win it all next year. If he leaves, all they have to show for this off season is Artest. Who by now is showing loves to be in the spotlight in L.A. All of this could potentially blow up in the Faker's face hvaing let go two key pieces in their team go.

Odom would make this team complete. He may have work ethic issues but he fits out system well.. A guy who can play the high post and pass the ball well while being able to play a good 30 min a game

The offer that got pulled was 3yrs 27 million. Odom wasn't aware there was a time limit on it, and Jerry Buss got mad that Odom was taking so long to accept it. The problem isn't money though. Odom wants length, as in 4yrs+.
