Does anybody here know Will an Unlock Iphone work with Tmobile's G3 service? or the Edge only Seems like Tmobile customer service isnt so sure, and I get mix results searching online.
What version are you running? I also got the $6 tzones deal but am on version 2.1 everything Is fine except I can't dl the newer apps. I want to upgrade to 2.2.1 but I don't want to mess anything up during the process.
Yes. It's pretty cheap compared to the $30/mo for AT&T though it's obviously not as fast. However, an unlocked iPhone 3Gs will probably cost you $500-600 bucks. So $24/mo difference times 24 months is $576 more you'd pay for Internet over 2 years. So there is not too much a difference there. Of course if you went for a older iPhone and you're okay with it being slightly slower, you'd get a good bang for your buck through T-Mobile.
Well, you have to get customer service to add on the unlimited t-zones plan for 5.99, which technically doesn't exist anymore. Read the Wiki post (2nd post) in this thread: http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?t=1321165# You may have to try several times with T-Mobile customer service to add it. I highly recommend talking to the cancellations department as they are usually more receptive to this stuff.
It helps if you tell them that you are just using the phone to get WAP available data like movie times and sports updates.
Yeah. They'll know you have an iPhone, and if they mention it, say you just bought a RAZR and that's what you want the T-Zones for.
Yes, but I'm not sure it is unlimited data. I know it used to be limited to 100mb, so verify that with them before you add it. It's still worth a 3-4 tries to get it for 6 just in case. Prices are only going to go higher and once you get the plan added, you have it at that price until you remove it.
The t-zones plan is meant for phones that use mobile internet. You can't youtube with the iphone or stream on this lan or else you'll go WAY OVER and end up with a huge bill. the sidekick plan is GONE! I asked my brother whose a manager at t-mobile.
The 5.99 Tzones plan is unlimited data use. Their new T-Zones plan called Web2Go is most likely limited.
