I think the general consensus is that he will be the real deal. A sure thing. I have heard some people say that he is going to be another shoot first point guard like Marbury, and that might be halfway on the money, but I think the biggest difference is Williams' attitude -- it's the selfless attitude that Coach K fosters in his players. That said, there are a couple of things that stand out in my mind concerning why Williams is regarded so highly. 1) Combination of speed, quickness, acceleration, and perhaps the most unique thing in terms of penetrating into the lane -- STRENGTH. Teams will have fits trying to keep this guy out of the paint, and it's that much harder to do when he can just pull from 25 feet. 2) Between Duke's offense and the personnel they carry, I don't think people see the fact that Williams can run a team if he's called on to do so. He sees the court very well, and I think he can be a pretty good assist man so long as he has some options other than himself.
Jay Will is the best player in the draft easily. With that said, I hope he's not a loser like Marbury.
