ya, i guess Shane is staying. It really wouldnt matter to me if he stayed or left because there would be benefits from both sides. I guess this way, he will help the team function together and smarter. I think Morey wants him to teach Budinger and Taylor the ropes and the tricks on D.
Very good recap. Thanks for the work DD. Enjoyed reading it. Nice to get something from DM. I missed seeing the game today. Looks like Bud still played well but not as well as yesterday.
We don't have to trade Battier or McGrady to get an OK backup center. The answer could very well lie on one of these summer league rosters. Oh, and we have Chuck Wagon and Scola that can man the 5.
Your first point is true. Your second I'm not so sure about (maybe Dorsey, after watching the games, but not sure). And your third makes me weep.
My guess is, Morey is not actively shopping Shane. But he would obviously listen to offers. I think Morey is more urgent in trading McGrady than Battier. But Battier is more attractive to other teams right now.
Good point, Morey or any other GM in the league try to hide transactions to avoid so many things. Its just but right to with hold information before any deal is done.
Looking back on it...yep 4th on the depth chart. Forgotten man Luther Head was still on the team, getting the minutes Francis mighta got. Cant blame a guy for being an oppurtunist.
Guys, please understand that Morey knows the players read this stuff, and his talking is ALWAYS calculated. Don't believe anything he says about who will be here and who won't......it is all to cover his bases....for a reason. DD
