Compare the ages of the two players and it's not even close on who the better player is. Did you even watch what Lebron did in the playoffs? The guy is only 24 and has 13,000 points
I don't hate Lebron, and the only people I know who hate him are Lakers who are always whining about the dude. Yeah, he's a bit arrogant and probably a jerk - but when you're elevated that much and are just that damn good, it's not surprising. He's not nearly as much of a jerk as Kobe.
The only people who hate LeBron are Kobe fanboys. However, I agree, this incident with the tape, if indeed orchestrated by LeBron, is ridiculous and does make him look stupid and insecure.
I think people hate Kobe more cause not only is Kobe arrogant, cocky, and a jerk but so are his fans, arrogant fans that like to insult anyone thats just as good or better than Kobe. Most peeps who watch the game and don't like Lebron still respect his game and physical abilities, only Kobe fanboys like to talk trash about him.
Stop right there. Bigger hurdled to overcome? Kobe had to overcome accusation of rape. Last I checked Lebron hasn't had to deal with ANYTHING as severe. If you really think Lebron refusing to shake hands after losing in the ECF or assumingly had a video of him getting dunked on taken away from a college student is comparable adversity, I hate to see how you deal with everyday life.
Too bad you can't 1-star threads here. I think a better question though would be whether the small number of bizarrely vehement lebron haters can be salvaged.
well I don't think Lebron will ever win unless he plays with another superstar, but as much as I hate the rapist for what he did to Shane, there is no denying that Kobe is much more skilled than Lebron
I don't think Lebron has a reputation problem at all. Kobe cleared up all of his off-the-court reputation problems, but he is still an arrogant prick on the court. Lebron might be a little cocky but overall i don't have any problem with him or his attitude. After all, he's already single-handedly led a team to the finals and then almost back again last year in a tougher Eastern conference. Just imagine what happens when he gets the right players around him.
How much did you expect him to "grow up from high school" in his rookie season, which was his first year out of high school?
Most of the LeBron haters are Kobe fans. Or most of Kobe fans are LeBron haters. LeBron is the most popular among league players, and Kobe is the least popular. Give LeBron a Pippen, he is Michael.
And as usual Dwyane Wade's comparable level of arrogance goes unnoticed ... To play along with this, Lebron is the ___ of the NBA: Barry Bonds A-Roid Roger Clemens Randy Moss Terrell Owens Pac Man Jones New England Patriots Is Lebron really worse than ANY of those people? I'd say at most Lebron is the Peyton Manning of the NBA. I'd even put Reggie Bush worse than Lebron.
