naaa, kobe's doucheness is hella bigger than lebrons. I think its the NBA and companies hyping him up that make him look really bad.

Who cares about the dunk thing and the shaking hands thing? The only people who will care about those two events after opening night this fall will be the most fervent haters.

Sure, Lebron has some arrogance, but what star player doesn't? It's what gives a lot of guys their ultra competitive nature. Nobody will care about his arrogance once he wins some rings.

I love Lebron. Everybody I talk to loves Lebron. It's weird to me to hear there are people who despise him.

I remember when he was a rookie how a reporter said he had to wait forever for him for an interview. When Lebron showed up, he referred to himself in third person as "Bron-Bron" and had his eyes glued to his PSP as they asked him questions.

It shows he hasn't grown up much from highschool. He gives a good reason to make college a mandatory thing for anyone going into the NBA. That, or someone needs to start calling out his mom not teaching him any manners or just basic social skills for that matter.

What a bizarre thread. I don't know anyone who hates LeBron. Honestly, Kobe really gets under my skin and always has. LeBron? Seems like an ok guy to me.

for the longest time i was not a fan of lebron's, he was way overhyped.

however, i do concede that last year he has definitely been playing some outstanding ball that has me finally respecting his game.

as far as the dunk goes, it wasn't a big deal, just some douche bag reporter that wanted to make a buck but nike denied him made it a big deal. everyone gets dunked on.

i still dont like him tho, especially after he stormed off the court after the elimination game.

Man this is crazy, most nba fans love lebron, he is the best player we got or at least the co best.

The dunk thing is stupid but lebron gets dunked on alot now because he goes for blocks alot more now, so what is the big deal. Courtney lee got em pretty good twice in the playoffs so whats the problem.

People love to hate the best athletes so people just try to find anything to hate on lebron for. Its stupid to me but whatever.

    MVP MVP MVP!!!!!

I can see where you are coming from, OP. A little overboard on the comparisons, but I see what you are saying.

The league is trying to make him the face of the NBA, but all of his actions has shown that he is little more than the typical arrogant, self-involved superstar. He's not the next Jordan or the next Jerry West (The Logo). He's a freak athlete who is good at basketball (much like Vince Carter). However, he doesn't have the charisma or the attitude to carry the NBA franchise.

isn't Lebron in the top 3 for jersey sales..?? considering how small of a market cleveland is, how do you come to the conclusion that everyone except cavs fans despise him?

Exactly. LBJ would never disrespect Shane like Kobe did in the playoffs.

Aside from this recent incident, I can't recall when he really did anything too out of line. The NBA and advertisors put him on a pedestal and you can't blame him for cashing in on all angles.
