Man, I haent tried half the cool local spots you guys are mentioning - props for the suggestions! For us, I'd say: Five Guys Beck's Fuddruckers Pappa's
interesting...i kind of thought he'd experienced a wide enough variety to actually intrigue me by that call. never been to a ruby tuesdays. assumed they are like chili's. is it that bad?
I would agree. Any steakhouse, even chains, ought to have great burgers. Hell, even Hooters has a pretty good burger. Not on par with Pappas or the like, but it's not bad.
Tornado Burger, Murphy road just south of 90. Best fast food burgers in Houston, period. Everything about their burgers is just perfect, right down to the sub $5 combo price. And the 25 cent spicy option is pure genius. Nobody else gets it right like these guys do ... not Becks Prime, not Fuddruckers, nobody.
I guess I'm the only person who really, really likes the burger at Rudyard's - it always has the best flavor of all the burger places I've been.
Five Guys is good - best fries in town Southwells on San Felipe - great veggie burger and I don't even like veggie burgers
Five guys offer way too much fries and too little burger. It sucks getting full off the side. Tornado's burger is about the same. Ruby Tuesday on the other hand, its not good. Unless they changed their recipe since 2007, I wouldnt go their again. Disappointing and their colossal burger was pretty gross too.
Beck's Prime is my favorite. I have never been to Lankford's but everyone I know that has been there raves about it....and talk about the old man that helps you.
I agree, people laugh when I tell them how good their burgers are there.. It's a must try for burger lovers..
Have to agree... I don't understand the fascination with tiny burgers. 5 guys' burger isn't really that great, and I don't really like their fries, even the spicy ones. I did like Blake's. Can't go wrong with Fuddruckers. I been wanting a burger from BJ's lately for some reason. Favorite burger is probably from Koppe Bridge in College Station. The Tap up there also has a really good burger.
I hardly ever eat regular ground-beef burgers anymore ever since I starting kobe beef burgers up in Waco. The ground beef in that thing taste better than most black angus steaks I've had. But for Houston, there aren't that many places that really stand out to me. It's not my favorite place, but I goto "moo-yah" alot just because I have so few options. The Hard-Rock cafe still makes one of the better burgers in town, in my opinion. It's not a local chain but they compete. Plus they're always clean and have good service.
Is there a place in Houston that sells hamburger with Kobe beef? I've always wanted to try it....but not interested in paying $100+ for a steak.
