Remember last year when he took two weeks off to strength train and got quotes like....."It feels a whole lot better and I feel like I can explode to the basket....and a lot of other bull. It gets kinda old after a while
T-mac will stay. Morey will extend Scola and we will go after a 2010 Big wig. It makes more since to just build up or core and grab a big name next year. My prediction: McGrady comes back before the break and we make a push for the playoffs. Sign Scola, trade Landry, resign Yao to 17 mil/4 years and try to sign D Wade
Well, he did come back and had a GREAT game. But after that game, his knee isnt able to keep up with him so he continued to slow down. He looked good each time after he came back with good rest.
With respect, I want what you're smoking. If we've learned anything, it's this: you can't rely on either Tmac or Yao to stay healthy. Tmac won't lead you anywhere, and Yao's weight and size are causing the bones in his legs and feet to break down. Time to let them go.
I hear you. A backcourt of Brooks and McGrady, with Ariza/Battier at small forward, could be pretty sweet. I just feel Brooks is the type of scoring PG that the Rockets have been looking to play next to McGrady. I know the Yao/McGrady dream is over, but it's hard not to still hope. Ah, what could have been.
I hope Tmac plays for us again so he can up his trade value. If he can sell tickets he'll be the first expiring teams go after; just look at the Iverson/Billups trade last year. No hard feelings to Tmac, but his ship has sailed here.
I think Tracy will be highly motivated on the court this season. He has something to prove after so many people have ragged on him. The fact of the matter is that he is a top 5 scoring threat when healthy, and I definitely wouldn't mind seeing him in a Rockets uniform this year.
I've seen Tracy play a lot of games in Houston. I've also seen Tracy not play a lot of games in Houston. But the games he has played in and been healthy . . . watch out because he is one hell of a scorer and all around force when he wants to be. He is also really good at making his teammates play inferiorly because they run up and down the court always waiting for TMAC to dunk on some fool. Let's keep TMAC and see what he can do unless one hell of a deal comes around. Worst case, we have a HUGE expiring contract that we can use to lure another star player to Houston with. I for one, would call it a heck of a season if we see TMac lead the Rockets into the playoffs and perhaps into the second round of the playoffs again!
If I see him do a 360 dunk and mad-dog the contesting defender, I WANT HIM BACK. Otherwise, ship his sorry a** somewhere else. I'm tired of being heartbroken, and so is Houston.
you all have to just stop hating on T-MAC and start to realize his going to play this season ,and over come an injury like yao. everyone knows battier is not getting traded for gods sake look what we gave up for the guy plus he's our only verbal/experienced leader! look for t-mac to keep us in the hunt for the playoffs and pray that yaos foot heals so that we can give the FAKERS a run for the money! " I HATE RON ARTEST , IF U WERE A TRU WORRIER U WOULD HAVE WACKED KOBE"
I don't want T-mac back. I am just saying we will just let his contract expire. The Push is for Tmac's sake. We will grab a star @2010 to play with Yao.
Very unlikely but this would be a dream situation. Nothing would glad me more than having Tmac show down Kobe and Artraitor with yao dominating Gasol.... Well at least nothing is impossible...
We might as well hope TMAC comes back to lead us to one run...then let his contract expire and go for a new era next year. A healthy TMAC and solid role players can at least make for a competitive and interesting season. Even with another second round exit as your ceiling, the fans pay good money for tickets and us out of towners pay good money for league pass. Let's not mail it in yet folks.
He has done some of the most physically amazing things I have ever seen. Dunking over top of Bradley comes to mind as well as countless other dunks over helpless defenders. If I don't see another twenty unmerciful Tracy McGrady dunks on NBA defenders in my lifeetime, I will be very very surprised. If I don't see another one of those as a Houston Rocket I wouldn't. And not only dunks. Amazing shots. Get better TMac!!!!!
Tracy will come back, He's gonna avg 30ppg 7ast 5reb, get Most improved player award, resign with the Rockets in the off season for the Max then get hurt again and miss the the next season

I can dream right?
LMAO But seriously, I'm glad to see that Tracy's recovery is heading in the right direction. He seems like an all around decent guy, especially with his interest in the forgotten Darfur situation.
