12 foot jumpers don't space nearly as well as 26 foot jumpers, which is what they were getting with Rashard Lewis at PF. Lewis was already stretching the defense, they were doubling off guys like Rafer or Courtney Lee, not Lewis. I don't think rebounding or post defense at the PF was a big problem for that team either, Lewis guarded Gasol reasonably well from what I saw in the Finals. Now I think the low post offensively will be overcrowded with Boozer, Lewis, Howard, even Carter who likes to post up. Boozer's biggest strengths, post offense and rebounding, are not nearly as useful in Orlando as they would be in say Chicago.
Err, no they can't. You can't combine a trade exception with a player's salary to make a trade go through. The TE can only take on players that are equal to or less than it's amount. That's been debunked many times on this board by the cap experts.
If there is anything to this then we know that the Magic still don't think they have a surefire contender on their hands and they are looking to improve. By the time the trade deadline passes the contending teams will have made EVEN MORE acquisitions to fortify their positions! Its getting crazy. I guarantee San Antonio makes another move. LA probably adds a nice PG. Boston will sign a recently released Iverson. Portland probably acquires Redd or something. Cleveland will definitely add something. Ughghgh
More like the Magic want to completely own the glass next year (seriously, would there be a better rebounding duo than Dwight + Boozer?) plus they probably want to slide Rashard to the three. PG Nelson SG VC SF Rashard PF Boozer C Dwight I wouldn't consider this type of speculation to be indicative of anything in regards to Dwight.
