WTF is up with all of the BOSH love???!! Why do you guys jock this guy so much. We should be putting our focus on Dwade for 2010. Realistically Miami will not make it out of the first round against Atlanta, Boston, Cleveland and he said he wants to be on a title contender. Can you imagine the JordanishPippenish similarity we would have if we had a Dwade Ariza Combo???? Plus you add a healthy Yao and solid Luis. 2 decent seasoned point gaurds in brooks and Lowry. Even if they don't decide to Sign Yao they'll have Bukoo money to spend. Forget Bosh please. That guy is Gar-Bosh.

If we get Dwade we're winning 6 titles.

Well it was either a Battier jersey that fit me, or a Yao jersey that would go down to my ankles. I didn't have much of a choice. Maybe I should just get one of those jerseys that you can put your own name on the back, because at least daryl can't trade me.

I wouldn't necessarily call Amar'e injury prone. The injury to his eye this past year was a freak accident.

I would hate to see Shane go. I hope there is some way to make this trade happen and retain him. It's especially more difficult when you are going to ship him to a conference rival. Call me stupid, but I wouldn't do this trade if Shane is involved.

I obviously don't like or believe the trade rumors, but to be honest I really don't see Morey ever trading Battier as long as he believes we have a shot at a championship. Particularly during the Ariza interview he's emphasized that he really likes having two strong wing defenders to throw at other teams, so I see Battier as a piece that Morey will not easily let go of.

Whoever gets Battier is going to be really good next year. Trading him away means trading wins away. But maybe that's the point we've gotten to these days. If he really is going, then I hope some of the young players have learned from his example and will maintain the kind of effort he gave on every play, the effort it takes to be a great team defensively and to be a winning team in the long run.

    Agreed.

    Both are boneheaded players too.

He's missed more games than Yao in his career so far, and he's injured his eye twice now.

we should not gamble on any moves that doesn't make us contenders. lets get a center and go out there and fight with what we got until 2010. we can still beat out phoenix and golden state for the 8th spot

The key is that he is a max player, we need give him all the money before we can get him, plus that he had two knee surgeries besides the eye accident. It would be very risk deal to me because if anything happens to him, then this team will be bad for years.

No to Amare. He doesn't like Houston and doesn't want to play here. I only want players who will be glad to wear and fight for the city. Others can go back to Memphis!

I can't believe ppl saying this is a bad deal. You guys really overrate T-mac and Battier's values. As much as I like Battier and Landry, this is still a big time trade for the Rockets. Amare's contract is expiring after next year, so think about it as a T-mac/Amare swap. Battier is nice but with signing Ariza, it is reasonable to have a trade involving him. At last, we get Richardson, OMG, you guys complaining?! Unbelievable!!! Those who don't like him, have you ever really watched this guy playing? Of course he's not a superstar if you compare him with the healthy T-mac back to a century ago, but he CAN create his own shot, getting to the basket, etc. COME ON guys, what more do you want? Dreaming getting Lebron or Dwade in 2010 huh?

Yeah but not one realistic move is going to make us a contender, that's why it's rebuilding. You get pieces over a period of time, not one move is just going to say "BOOM, WE CAN WIN IT ALL NOW!"

Even if we could trade Tmac/Landry/Battier we have now for Lebron, it wouldn't make us a championship team.

So I don't get this "It's not going to make us contenders..." logic.

Thing is in the NBA you need stars...as of right now we have 0 of them...Amare is a star...

We can get a star 2010 FA, but people are underestimating how difficult that will be. The FA has to WANT to come here, and if we have a bad season they may not be convinced.

We can draft a player after having a bad season...but we have to hope he develops into a star...

Considering this is a Radio Rumor, you can only take it for that.

However, what I do believe is that if there will be a Trade that involves Shane Battier to Portland and Rudy Fernandez on his way out. I expect a 3 suitor, however. Whether we get it worked out with portland and memphis or portland and phoenix, I doubt Shane Battier survives the trade.

I don't believe this to be true. He could pout and complain here just as he could in Phoenix, though he seems smart enough to understand that he won't maximize whatever contract he eventually gets by doing that (hence the recent "Sure, I'd love to stay in Phoenix" comments).

Frankly, to me, that part is a positive. Say trade deadline comes, it hasn't been all perfect, and a team like Philadelphia is once again in the race in the east, Brand is healthy and playing but still not a great fit...well then you might be able to trade an Amare into Brand + Young + Speights type deal...or something...
