I don't think this is legal or even actual DVD quality. What do you think? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1544390832
they are probably from overseas and they are probably VCD... and may or not play on your home DVD player but should play on your PC.... the DVD's haven't officially been released by Lucas yet.
I have the Star Wars trilogy on DVD. Essentially, they are direct copies of the laser disk. They are wide screen + Dolby Digital 5:1. On the positive side...the sound is superb. On the negative side, the extras are very weak and the transfer is laser disk quality. Ie, better than video but NOWHERE NEAR DVD quality. If you have ever seen a non 16:9 enhanced DVD movie...then that’s about your standard.
Ah, the things you can find on the streets of New York... I've got 'em, too (plus Episode II, but that's a different story). I'll affirm what ScreamingRocketJet said (even though we probably have 2 different versions): The video is actually pretty good for a bootleg (but a bit short of DVD quality). The sound, however, is merely okay. I really don't think it's DD5.1, even though it says so on my preamp. The mix sounds like a VHS tape to me. Sadly, I have no extras on my discs at all. Still, it's nice to have something of the original Trilogy on DVD, even if it's subpar. Then again, not all bootlegs can look and sound like my LOTR DVD...
like rockHEAD says, they are out of region VCD's. But on a brighter note.... The BACK TO THE FUTURE TRILOGY DVD set is being released on Dec 17th, 2002!!!! http://www.bttf.com/backtalk/20020617.shtml In your face number 6!!! ftp://ftp.smoovenet.com/pub/lardlad/sounds/season12/computer13.mp3
SWEET!!!! I've been wondering when they would be released on DVD... I'll be first in line!!! Woo hoo!
