Give me Amare now! Bosh looks like someone workin at Star Bucks, that dude is way to mellow for this team. Is it to much to ask for some dirty players on this team?

We have to get our hands cleared before netting either of them. If our team sucks next season without either T-Mac and Yao, then I don't see we can get any big name of James, Wade, Bosh, or even Amare. T-Mac's contract could be kept till next summer if Yao wasn't hurt, now with Yao absent for next entire season, we urgently need some capable guys to keep our team afloat next season, at least for next season. We have to trade either T-Mac or Yao right now to get some players that will bring us instant power. Yao's international value makes him a nice choice for other teams regardless of his incompetence and inconsistency, and T-Mac's expiring contract is still very attractive for teams looking forward for some big moves next summer.

    rocketboi read this please

just cause we got money doesnt mean they will flock to us. so many other teams have space as well. yao being here is one of those incentives.

if only somehow all the planets aligned and some mystic force could give us bosh and wade in '10... but on a serious note, either would be fine.

Since Amare's contract expires at the end of the 2010 season and so does T-Mac's, why not do the trade for Amare and if he's great, then re-sign him, if not, go after Bosh/Wade/etc...

If we get either one of em I'm happy(better than injured tmac). Lets get real here. If we target one and knock one off considering the other and then don't get either!!!! We are not the only team out there to compete for them. What is better out there we can get besides maybe wade? Get what you can get if it makes you closer to a contender...you can't go with maybe!

Amare of course. He fits the immediate need of the Rockets and if He does not pan out then the Rockets can trade him since his contract is expiring.

personally, i would choose neither, because we can't afford Amare or Bosh not to be playing starter mins. that means landry or scola has to be taken a back seat.

I would go for a 1 to 3 position star instead of someone in 4 or 5 position.

But the team needs to get bigger. Getting a center is a must.

The people who think that the Rockets should take a pass on either because of Scola help one to better understand Bowie over Jordan.

I would take Amare in a trade right now. Amare is a proven Center and was considered the best by most a couple of years ago. His numbers are almost identical to Yao's plus IF Yao comes back he can slide to power forward.

Amare is a better offensive option than Bosh. When the game is in the 4th quarter you would have a player that can dominate on the offensive end of the floor. Amare is better in the paint than Bosh.

This is not a knock on Bosh because there are things that he does better than Amare but I think Amare fits the team as constructed now much better than Bosh. Depending on what we would have to give up to get Amare the Rockets would be better with him then we were at any point last season.

If they pick up a start PG for 4 years, the Rockets will be borderline lottery/playoffs team for 4 years with Chuck Hayes(6'6") as the starting C and Yao's backups.

They did surprise the Lakers for 2 games with Chuck as C, but the Rockets got put in their place for being short.

Both of these players would benefit playing along an athletic, defensive minded center who could act as a secondary frontcourt scorer. Amare should be a 4,not a 5.

    Neither.

Tanking will not happen. However, of the 2 -- I'd say the Chris Bosh route. Your other option ends with another question. The last thing everyone should not want more of.

The Rockets are doing a great job of setting the stage for 2009-2010 supporting cast try outs.

I would love to see the Rockets land a top 5 lotto pick and snag Greg Monroe :)

i'd rather get bosh. I just think he has a better all around game.

Amare scares me with his injuries and attitude.

We're not getting Bosh in 2010. He wants to play with Wade in Miami.
If you can get a trade for either, I'd go for it as long as they sign long term.

An Amare in hand is better than a Bosh in the bush.

Scola has no post presence are u serious do u acutally watch the games or just the highlights?? and the (???) is a defensive center we need to acquire for tracys contract or the MLE this year and seriously if Bosh was a "superstar" like you guys think he would have found a way to get his team in the playoffs. HE PLAYS IN THE EAST its not like toronto is in the toughest conference in the League no excuse for that. Calderon played in 66 games last year that should be plenty of time to win at least 40 games to get into the playoffs

THE BUCKS HAD A BETTER RECORD THAN THEM!!!!!! seriously come on
