I don't know what you're reading, but most of the Bosh threads I've seen on here are at least half and half on Bosh coming here, if not more than half saying that he won't come here. That's just my experience, though. Yours is definitely different. At the very least, it's not a LeBron James or Dwyane Wade level of pipedream. Those guys are definitely not coming here in my opinion. Bosh is at least a possibility.
My bad, I should have clarified. Most of the cases being made by the people that say he will come are because he is from the state of Texas. Just doesn't make much sense. I'd say Joe Johnson would be the most realistic player to get and/or target next offseason.
?? I hate the Mavs but Dirk is one of the best players in the NBA. I wouldn't freaking mind him being the face of one of my franchises if I had one.
Well, look at it this way; Ariza said that he signed here because it was the closest place to his family and home L.A. So, it does factor in. Then you take into account that with some well placed moves, we can offer him near the max in terms of contract length and money. Then, I like our roster as great role players that excel around stars. If we do decently well next year and a free agent like Bosh sees that, it will be even more reason to come here next year. Plenty of positives to look at and Bosh is definitely a attainable player depending on how things play out.
Dude this isn't Mavs talk. I'm saying that most peoples explanation or reasoning for Bosh coming to Houston is cause he is from Texas. I'm posting the question of why wouldn't he just go to Dallas. Freakin scrubs!
Actually the mavs will have Dampier's contract that will expire just like Stackhouses did this year. I think Damps is at 13million or so, so a SnT could be for 13mil+25% = 16.25million. Josh Howard also will be 10million expiring. So the mavs essentially could have 23mil + 25% or 28.75million to play with next year.
In case you couldn't tell, the Cavs were terrible on the front line against the Magic. Dwight Howard spend all series dunking on whoever he wanted to. So the Cavs are thinking of pulling off some huge trades to help LeBron during the final year of his contract in Cleveland. Three names the Cavs may trade for are Chris Bosh, Tyson Chandler...and Shaq. How much would each of these three guys help LeBron? I'd think if you got Shaq, you might as well hand Cleveland the title. Bosh and Chandler, I'm not so sure about. This seems like an easy choice to me. If the Cavs had their choice why wouldn't they go for Bosh. He's a 23 and 10 guy who plays a ton of minutes he can shoot which will help draw opposing centers out of the lane for Lebron to drive and score or dish. He's not really a low post threat but neither was Bill Wennington and that seemed to work out fine. Chandler dropped off last year and Shaq is a 7 foot 350 lb 37 year old, who had an incredible season last year and still fell way short of Bosh's production
