This rumor was mentioned on 610 several minutes ago, possibly it has already come very close to the real. As Adam Wexler described, this trade involves 3 teams in Rockets, Suns and the Blazers. For the Rockets part, we give up T-Mac, Landry and Shane for Amare and J-Rich. I think it would be a great trade for the Rockets team, especially because yao will miss next entire season and won't have so many more years to play in the league.

 

Probably means Battier would go to Portland and maybe Fernandez/Outlaw to Phx?

 

Adam brought that up on his own and not just a caller asking him what he thought?

 

If they do that then they will have 12 or 13 mil in guaranteed contracts. They could sign Two max contracts.

I made up this trade and sent it to Adam via email and he discussed it over the air.

Yeah Amare and Rich are both overpaid and their contract will possibly last longer than T-Mac's garbage contract (Rich has 2 years remaining while Amare has player option next summer, say both of them are able to earn their salaries from Rockets in 10-11 season if they want.) In the package we would send to Suns, only Battier's contract lasts till the post 10 era and Shane is not even close to overpayment. But such a deal may keep our team a contender next season, otherwise I don't see any chance the decapitated rockets creep to playoffs next season.
