Can't wait until next season, so many teams have loaded up.

Lots of team will load up with what they can since 2010 FA looks like will not be what most expected it to be with the salary going down. I hope the Rockets see this and make a big move like trade TMac for Amare/Barbosa or for Bosh, you never know what may happen.

Decent for the Spurs and McDyess. Both sides are running out of time for a championship. McDyess is still a very good backup C or PF.

Too much money for McDyess IMO. However for the spurs it is well worth it. They're really loading up for a championship this season - so they NEEDED more than simply a warm body alongside Duncan.

    Parker
    Ginobili
    Jefferson
    Duncan
    McDyess

McDyess adds grit to that lineup. That is a VERY nice looking line up

Good signing. I can see the Spurs and Blazers taking out the Lakers.

It's a game, but it's not chess. Think NBA Southwest Division Simon Says.

    Simon says...

Spurs: Bench All-star center Robinson for rest of season

Houston: Bench All-star center Yao for rest of season, but gets an injury exception to sign Ariza, too.

    Spurs: Draft Duncan

Houston: ...Your move Morey... Draft ?????

Spurs: Win multiple championships with 2nd round draft picks as starters

Houston: ...Your move Morey.. Win ? Championships with 2nd round draft picks as starters :D

Maybe not, but I'd love to have his size. Even if he isn't a true center, its still better than having Hayes, Scola, or Landry defend down low. Damnit I'm not giving up this season Yao or no Yao.

He's only 6'9, and like everyone else said, he's old. I think that is way too much money for him

he averaged close to 10 points and 10 rebounds last year, and averaged 13 and 8 against the cavs

people in san antonio are estatic about this signing they possibly think they will win the championship :D

Yao's injury is a blessing in disguise for you guys. Yao gets some much needed rest to come back fresh in 010. If I was the Rockets staff I would handle him like the Suns handled Shaq. What good is it if he plays so many regular season games only to be worn down in the playoffs?

The last guy Kobe took under his wing was Caron Butler. With T-Mac and Ron out of the picture it gives Ariza room to develop. You could already see Kobe's game rubbing off on Trev throughout the year in the same way that traces of KG's game rubbed off on Davis and Perkins. You've got yourself a real player in him.

David Robinson went down for a season and it lead to Tim Duncan and 4 rings. You guys will get a nice player thru the draft and free agency/trade. If only the Lakers weren't so good :p

He's miles better than Oberto. Of course, San Antonio still can't advance without being healthy but before the Jefferson and McDyess moves they probably didn't have enough to advance even if healthy. At least now if everything goes well for them late in the season they have a (great) chance of going back to the Finals.

Solid, smart move by the Spurs. Somebody better remind Mitch Kupchak that if he has any plans of competing against the 09-10 Spurs he BETTER bring back Odom. A player like Odom off the bench is the one thing the Spurs do not have (assuming Manu starts).
