Dallas sucks. I'm sorry........had to say it. I've never heard of any of the performers in this thread, but I will search and give it a try.
It's KFWR The Ranch. They play all Texas Country all of the time. As soon as I discovered this station I've had it streaming from my computer everyday.
Just about all I listen to besides classic rock. Here are a bunch of artists I didn't see mentioned: Stoney LaRue Jason Boland Ryan Bingham Phil Pritchett Adam Hood Brandon Rhyder Reckless Kelly Bleu Edmomdson Brandon Jenkins Owen Temple Kyle Bennett Band Mike Mclure
I believe it is my civic duty to check out all of these artists as well as others mentioned in this thread (though I still prefer Robert Earl Keen's old roomate--though I have quite a bit of REK on my iPod) I also think it is my civic duty to formally protest all of these damn polls tonight. However, Poles are still okay. Sorry for the convoluted post........wife is out of town, baby is asleep, and I have a buzz.
One that hasn't been mentioned is Doug Moreland. I was almost in his band once he stopped doing mostly comedy and focused more on serious songs. He's a super funny guy and a good chainsaw artist.
Gary Kyle and the No Standards Band out of Denton have been touring Texas non-stop for a few years now. The lead singer and guitarist have Houston connections and I saw them play at an Astros/Rangers game once... I think Texas Country would best describe their sound and the guitarist throws in some jazz licks in his repertoire... They are solid.
