    Hello,
Can someone help with planning a trip to Denver? I arrive this Wednesday afternoon and leave Sunday morning. I'm not sure what to do on Saturday. I was thinking about Rocky Mountain Park and drive the scenic roads, but it might be redundant to Mt Evans and Pike's Peak. I would like to visit a tall building and take pictures of Denver's skyline, any recommendations? I'll take suggestions for good local restaurants too, thanks.

    Thursday - Mt Evans
Friday - Pike's Peak and Royal Gorge Bridge
    Saturday - ??

I wouldn't bother with royal gorge.

    Boulder is nice.

Red rocks if there is a decent show.

    Head west

go to the indian casinos about an hour away? get a scenic drive AND hit the casino for a bit.. oh, but the table minimum AND maximum is $5 in the state. So don't go expecting to double your bet or anything..

I enjoyed my drive up to Mt. Evans, it's a bit scary!! I went to Denver in July 2006, it was snowing on top of Mt. evans and pikes pike, so take a jacket!!

Royal Gorge is Awesome. I still recall my trip there 15 years ago.

You could also take a Mork and Mindy photo at Boulder. We climbed up on the goal posts and did that back then.

If you do Mt Evans, leave Denver around 1 or 2 am and catch the sunrise.

Rocky Mt Nat Park: some decent hiking trails, some wildlife, Estes Park for quaintness.

Boulder- best seen from the rear view mirror :D

Pikes Peak - Mt Evans makes this redundant for the most part unless you take the train up or hike the crags up the back way.

Royal Gorge- cool if you haven't seen it, not sure it's worth the trip just for it though unless your gonna raft or take the train.

As updawg & Horace Greely said...go west, dude....

    You a Buff?

Highly recommend Boulder. I live there. The Pearl Street mall is hours of entertainment, just from the random street performers. If you do go up to Boulder and you're into that sort of thing, I'd recommend going to Celestial Seasonings. They have free tours. If you're looking for wilderness, drive about 45 minutes to an hour past Boulder and you'll be in Estes Park which is gorgeous.

    Go to Red Rocks.

We've had crazy weather this month. It'll be gorgeous and 80 degrees and then it'll pour rain for about an hour. Looks like a "heat wave" is heading our way and we might hit 90 while you're in town, but only this weekend looks like there'll be rain. Hard to tell though.

As for restaurants, what type of food do you want and what price ranges? Looking to go fancy or just casual? Where are you staying (downtown, etc.)?

Boulder is awesome. Rocky Mountain National Park is awesome. Go to Estes Park as well, right there next to Rocky Mountain National Park.
