. . . in a statistical rating by Chris Monter. Here is the article:

In all fairness, it was based upon the number of categories in which a player is in the top ten of point guards in the league (Francis only was in the top ten in two categories), and only looks at last year's statistics. It does present an interesting statistical comparison of the league's starting point guards, however.

He actually has the 3rd highest OR (overall ranking). So he is only ranked behind Jason Kidd and Andre Miller.

OR= offensive rebounds
TR= total rebounds

Francis has a terrible assist/turnover ratio- 1.6
He is low on shooting percentage and steals

He is not a very good point guard statistically.

His numbers wouldnot be as bad as a 2-guard

Francis has a lot of room for improvement. Our team would be much better if he took care of the ball better, got others the ball where they like it and he became a defensive force.

Actually Steve is in the top ten as far as Steals go(#6 I believe).

Hopefully a more consistent line up, improvement by all of our players and adding some people on the team who can catch better, and finish around the basket will help Steve in both Assists and Assist to turnover ratio.

I'm guessing Francis' injuries (and the rest of the team's injuries) last year skewed some of his stats.

Yeah but Francis wasn't put in the tops in half the categories because of all the games he missed.

Dan Patrick: "[Charlie] Steiner says you're not among the 50 best heavyweights."

Evander Holyfield: "In the world?!"

Patrick: "In Georgia."
