Maybe its a good choice but, Shane Battier the President? who will take this advantage and responsibility after his leaving? rockets needs a leadership
Sorry for replying late but I'm not aware of Toronto's cap space. I checked hoopshype but I'm not sure how accurate that site is. I know they had to renounce several players rights in order to sign Hedo. I know I read it somewheres and I'll try to find it, but perhaps they have enough capspace S&T Marion afterall?
I love this trade idea. What a fun team to watch this would make. They'd be young and potent. Fernandez would be the perfect complement to our speedy young guys. I'd hate to see Battier go, but it would be worth it to get such a perfect piece to the new puzzle. But it's hard to imagine Portland wanting to do this, unless they thought maybe Battier's defense and leadership could help put them over the top.
Actually I just found it a few hours ago. Toronto still has his rights, they havent renounced them yet. They will soon apparently, but are still working the angles for their benifit.
Unless everyone is forgetting we are one of the best defensive teams in the nba. and battier is without a doubt our best defender. everyone was so hyped up about getting to the 2nd round this year and taking the lakers to 7. Well none of that would have been possible without shane. with him defending kobe we were able to contain him easier, otherwise with our lineup, you know he coulda scored 50 easily each game. Fernandez is good but we Cant lose battier.
