I seem to recal that under Van Gundy, the Small Foward and the Shooting guard were interchangeable. Is that still the case with Adelman? Last season we went with Artest and Battier in the Starting line up. But I keep hearing how Ariza is not that good of a ball handler. So my question is, who's our starting shooting guard? Is it Taylor or is it either Battier or Ariza? Because as it is, the Rockets are already over the cap, and I don't see them moving that much higher into the cap space as is. Scoal Landry Battier Ariza Brooks Is that our starting line up? And who besides Brooks could dribble the basketball?

Battier will get moved for a center and Flight White will be the opening day starter until Tmac comes back lol.
I guess it is still Tracy McGrady If he can't play, Ariza will probably take his place with Shane (I still hope he gets traded) starting at SF.
haha, I figured someone would use that. And funny story about the name "Mike Hunt." (sorry, this has nothing to do with theRockets, other than the fact we were watching them on TV at the time). A few friends and I were at Hooters watching a Rockets game. We decided to play a prank on the hostess. We called from our cell phone and said "Hey, a buddy of mine is at your Hooters location and his wife just went into labor. He doesn't have a cellphone, can you try and find him. His name is Mike Hunt." So, this blond hostess stands up on a chair in the middle of the restaurant and with a megaphone yells "Mike Hunt, you're wife is going into labor and wants to meet you at the hospital." Needless to say, 1/2 the people there were cracking up. She didnt understand what was going on, so she says again "Mike Hunt, I need Mike Hunt up here now. Where is Mike Hunt, has anyone seen Mike Hunt." Everyone, except for her knew what was going on. So finally one of the waitresses went up to her and whispered "It's a joke, it sounds like you're saying 'My Cun*'." One of the funniest things I've ever witnessed.
I don't care what anyone says, that's not a playoff team even with all the hustle in the world. 82 games is a lot and you can't go out that small every night and make that work.

ariza is our SG. we don't really need typical SG. If Ariza can shoot respectable from the field we're good. also Chuck Hayes is a hound on defense and on the glass. we'll be fine with Hayes as our center.
We have the highest payed player in the NBA and hes a shooting guard and hes a multiple time all-star. He's obviously our shooting guard for now and years to come. He's only like 30, his prime shouldn't be over just yet, he should have at least 2-3 more seasons of being good then go to being decent for a while. We got it set.

That's most likely our starting lineup - and it is offensively challenged (to put it nicely). We'll average 74ppg with that lineup. And that's if they all have career high scoring years.
I second houston19519! What the hell are you all so freaked out about? DD, I know you aren't as big of a Morey fan as a lot of the other people on this board, but do you maybe want to give the brotha a chance to do his job before concluding that we're going into the season without a 2?
