The Jazz, it's been learned and confirmed, engaged in recent trade talk with the Houston Rockets about a possible deal that would have brought seven-time NBA All-Star swingman Tracy McGrady to Utah for small forward Andrei Kirilenko. http://www.deseretnews.com/article/705314842/Utah-Jazz-talked-Kirilenko-for-McGrady-trade.html HAHA ROFL!!
I've seen it quite a bit, Jazz fans actually want to trade for McGrady. They like Scola as well. Don't you think all the Jazz need to contend is a star SG?
Somebody in that front office is trying to drive Jerry Sloan nuts, that's for sure. I would pay to watch the Jerry/Tracy reality show. As for Kirilenko-- he's way overpaid and cuts into the 2010 potential spending plan, but he's a good player. I'd take him only if the Rockets get something else useful back (Ronnie Brewer would be nice-- or maybe use a 3 way trade sending Boozer to a third team for something decent... Perhaps CHA for Diaw or Okafor?) .
Kirilenko's contract expires in 2011 while McGrady's expires in 2010. They would have to give up a lot more if they expect us to take on that garbage contract of AK's. D-Will maybe? Get it done, Morey!
Totally agree with you. The center position is the most pressing issue and by trading and getting no center in return is mind boggling.
Thank God this trade did not happen. I can't stand Kerilinko. Maybe if it were for Boozer cause I may hate him but at least hes good and could probably play center.
Kirilenko (the best flopper in the league) and Scola on the same team? There would be a record for the number of flops
The only way I'd take Kirilenko is if they tossed in Deron Williams. And they aren't going to do that.
Okur's contract expires next year, that would be great if they could pry him from Utah, but damn near impossible
No, I love T-Mac and I dont want him to the team that I hate the most. If Rockets trade him, I want them to trade him in a contender team.
