I think his agent is insulted that Von didn't get priority. The agent is just saying standard agent stuff, "My client did ...... and we are disappointed ...." Who honestly was surprised his agent said this? I wasn't.

Its really a pity the team could not keep Wafer but as stated His position has been replaced and his position is not of a major concern. Let Him try His luck with other teams.

As much as I loved wafer's energy, a player of his type is very common and therefore makes him expandible.

If i was Von I would take the Rockets deal and wait for a call from Chinese shoe company for my endorsement deal.

We offered Ariza the full MLE. Von's camp is saying the Rox offered him the min. I'm not sure if the agent was just lying but, considering DM didn't refute his statement it must be true. Wow what a lowball offer....surely even DM could see VOn was worth more than that? At least give him what Hayes got, 2 million per....

Oh yeah I didn't think of it that way lol. Hmm, kinda' makes you think of the Ariza signing. I'm not sure which would be better, Von + some other free agent (Zaza? Birdman? that young c from the blazers?) or Ariza alone...

We are signing Ariza for MLE, the deal is agreed on. We don't get the BAE this year since we used it on Brent last year, so money left Wafer.

this was very disturbing news when i heard this .why would u let a player that u know can contribute for u walk for 3 mill or less he is only 23. players dont hit their prime till they turn 25 he can obviously score the ball and shoot the ball who are gonna be your scorers this season ariza ? lowry? landry? the two new rookies we just got who havent had any EXPERIENCE in the nba even if he doesnt fit u can always give him just a 1 or 2 year deal and trade him if he hasnt gotten any better plus hes a great bench player who plays extremely well in adelmans system cuz he can key word (shoot) the ball and make shots.he can score which is gonna be your main problem next season due to the injures to mac and yao.they have to resign him u cant under value talent and that will be exactly what morey would be doing if they dont resign him. i guarentee if he plays 30 minutes + he will win m i p award. please dont be boneheaded morey just cuz adelman cant coach and he yanked von while he was hot in that playoff game and von snaped adelman has been doing that all season long so he can please artest and let him close out games its not vons fault that adelman is a middle of the pack coach.

I'm gonna miss Von Von. I wish there was some way we could sign him back.

Which team would be interested in signing Von?

The Rockets CANNOT offer Von Wafer more than the league minimum. It is impossible. The Rockets have used the entire MLE on Trevor Ariza. The LLE cannot be used this summer, since it is only available every 2 years and the Rockets used it last summer on Brent Barry. The Rockets do not own any Bird rights on Wafer that would otherwise allow the team to exceed the salary cap to re-sign him. The league minimum is now his ONLY option. There is nothing that either the Rockets or Wafer's agent can do about it.

That report was complete BS. It never made sense (since that contract offer would have precluded the Rockets from being able to sign either Gortat or Ariza). Completely erroneous report. Never happened. Never would have.

this dude is cocky. he got a great opportunity to play in a great system. let him try to duplicate that on other teams. there's a reason he's played on so many teams already.

IMO Wafer works better on a veteran team, where he can provide a change-of-pace burst off the bench but his erratic side can be tempered by more level-headed players. He fit well with last year's Rockets, but with the team aiming to get younger, less so now.

Wherever he end up, he needs to get rid of that weak haircut and act like a pro.

After the way he acted last year, I won't miss him all that much.

I don't know if someone has already posted this, according to von wafer's twitter page, "thanks for the support -- I wanted to come back but the Rockets don't want me. I will come back strong somewhere. maybe the clipers." Seems like he might be signing with the clippers!!!
