Morey has and is the best GM we have and all I hear on the radio and some in here is what is he doing? Why Ariza? Where is the big man? Where is the big move? Just calm down and chill out he has two huge moves left to do and when they go down it will change the look of this team completely. Battier and TMAC are now on the block, Morey must show patience and pick out the best trades that will benefit us not only this upcoming year but also the next few years! So we might suck in 09-10 but Scola, Brooks, Ariza, Landry and Lowry will grow by leaps and bounds which will allow us to be back in 10-11!

    IN MOREY WE TRUST!

We live in an instant gratification culture. In the eyes of a lot of fans, if deals aren't going down, it means Morey is sitting on his ass. They also act like the season starts tomorrow and our roster is set.

    Patience is a virtue.

Everyone questioned him on Landry, Brooks and Lowry but now we all love those guys.

I am chilling...I'm not worried. I'm looking forward to the 2010-2011 season.

And this coming season, of course. Morey knows what he's doing. We're gonna be set up good for some entertaining basketball this season, and some serious @ss-kicking basketball next season.

i totally agree, Morey is trying to get young and great value for his players.....on that note I think the rockets will trade battier to Portland for Rudy and Travis (LETS GET YOUNG AND ATHLETIC).....Did any one else notice we pretty much took the Lakers most athletic player, given that Kobe(31) isn't as athletic as he used to be...Good luck Lakers trying to keep up with the faster and younger teams in the league :D

Very good point we do live in an instant gratification culture. It is going to be a long year of people b****ing and moaning over us not winning. I, as an obsessive Rockets fan, will be pained greatly as well...but I'll live. And in 2010-2011 I WILL PARTY ALL YEAR. It is gonna make it that much sweeter.

Building a solid team. If Yao can come back to form and chooses to resign with the Rockets, then it might be ok.

But I think this team will be competitive next season.

Scola; Dorsey; Cook; (Yao out whole season)
    Landry; Hayes
    Ariza; Chase; White
Battier; Taylor; (McGrady for 1/2 season)
    Brooks; Lowry; Barry

But they look like a team that only wins 32 or so games.... :(

I just don't know why we havent made an offer for Wafer. We need offense so much this season after losing Yao and Tmac! This season is toast unless we get a superstar!

I don't see Morey getting rid of Battier, he's a good defender, and he is the only one who really gave Kobe trouble during the playoffs, even Geroge Karl said he wanted his defensive skills on his team. Also Shane is the leader of this team, along with Yao and Scola, and hopefully the guys on our team listen to the advice he gives them. I believe Morey can make a TMac-Cook-Barry-Dorsey package look good, especially if Dorsey doesn't do what they expect of him at the summer games in Vegas.

I agree, he doing a terrific job right now, we should be thankful.
He is doing something rather than nothing at all.

If we had gotten Gortat instead of Ariza I would be with you a hundred percent but now I just think Morey will do whats best for 2010-11 and beyond...Battier with Yao and Artest is essential without not so much...Morey has made some tough choices and he hasnt even blinked so whatever he does il be behind!

A lot of people on GARM suffer a misconception that Rockets have this incredible treasure trove of amazing trading assets.

it's fun reading possible rumors on other websites. it gets old on the boards. i agree with CB. with everything so fast paced, we expect deals to go down as fast as loading a youtube vid (connection permitting).

I think your right about everything except I think this team can get 45 wins everybody overlook they have played together for a couple years and the league is not filled with a bunch of power playes the game is become more finest so the team wont be as much in a grind next season. I still say stand pact and not bail out on this team.

    HERETIC!

But seriously, everything he has done so far has turned up roses. Or, as in the case with Francis and James signings, were exceptinally low risk. Outside of McGrady's contract (who he didn't sign) we get the most bang for our buck for each player than any other team. Look how much we pay Scola!

He's either been exceptionally lucky in just stumbling across really good, hard working, team players. Or he knows what he's doing. I lean towards teh latter.
