The more I think about it poor Shane will probley be traded. Thank Shane by sending him to great contender. Ilgauskas is very productive and Gibson needs to recapture his early success, maybe a change in seen wll motivate him. Incoming Players Daniel Gibson 6-2 PG from Texas 7.8 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 1.8 apg in 23.9 minutes Zydrunas Ilgauskas 7-3 C from Lithuania (Foreign) 12.9 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 1.0 apg in 27.2 minutes Outgoing Players Kyle Lowry 6-0 PG from Villanova 7.5 ppg, 2.3 rpg, 3.6 apg in 21.9 minutes Brian Cook 6-9 PF from Illinois 3.0 ppg, 1.3 rpg, 0.2 apg in 6.9 minutes Shane Battier 6-8 SF from Duke 7.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 2.3 apg in 33.9 minutes
the idea of Cavs giving up D Gibson and their starting center for last few years for low scoring wing and average point guard makes no sense. Bad trade in my opinion
Ilgauskus would be a nice player if the situation was different (we were a decent center away from contending, for instance). As it is, I think we should look to improve our future rather than our present with any trades involving Shane and Lowry.
no way, for the reason stated above....plus boobie is a set up shooter, AKA must be set up, he hasnt had success like before because teams started clamping down on him....he's too short to just try shooting over guys all the time..
It's bad enough that you want to give up Shane for Ilgauskas. Then you throw in Lowry into the mix. Terrible.
I guess they will try to use battier + something to trade a center after summer league but i dont think they will try llgauskas...
i really like big z but he has foot history and if yao has procedure like his then we have a starter and his backup that could be time bombs
Bad IDEA. Don't gamble on Boobie. We've already got a better version of him in Brooks, and I prefer Lowry over him too. And Big Z, who I'm a big fan of, is way past his prime. We're planning for the future. There's no point in getting an aging center.
