it seems like phoenix is blowing that team up and even if they did resign amare they still will be loosing money like they are now. i say a 70/30 chance we can get him. I think we can get him right now if we give up landry and brooks. morey just waiting to see who we can sign before he makes the decision with amare. if we can get a serviceable pg.

We should get Rip Hamilton, he's good for our team.

Now that the Rockets have used the full MLE on Ariza. The only contracts the Rockets can offer to free agents are min deals. Adding more players that was will likely put the Rockets over LT... My guess, trades are coming.

Another situation to look out for is Jermaine Taylor. Dorsey held out for a higher than min deal and he wasn't the only high 2nd rounder to do that last season.

    BLAZERS:
Brooks → Fernandez + rights to Mills & Freeland & Koponen
*Rudy possibly wants out if Blazers get Hedo
*Blazers possibly renouncing Freeland & Koponen to have the cap space to sign Hedo

KNICKS, part of multiple team trade:
    McGrady + Cook → Harrington + Mobley (80% paid by insurance) + Crawford (non-guaranteed) + Hunter (non-guaranteed)
*Waive Joe Crawford & Chris Hunter.
*Harrington & Mobley both expiring and more trade-friendly than McGrady's contract.

BULLS, part of multiple team trade:
Lowry + Mobley + Harrington + Hayes + rights to Taylor → Hinrich + Miller

    Hinrich Mills Koponen
    Ariza Fernandez
    Battier Barry Budinger (Leunen/Newley)
    Scola Landry Dorsey
    Miller Freeland Yao

    Brooks Blake
    Roy Bayless Batum
    Hedo Webster
    Aldridge Outlaw Pendergraph
    Pryzbilla Oden

    Rose Lowry Roberson*
    Salmons Taylor Nelson* Mobley
    Deng Harrington Johnson
    Tyrus Gibson TimThomas
    Noah Hayes

    *Non-guaranteed

I think you're forgetting the Jazz and after this draft, the Pacers as well (Tyler Hansborough at 13. Come on).

Not me. I'm glad Morey was determined not to overpay a guy who was essentially Big Z Light.

Dude, I've seen the foul. They were going 100 miles an hour, he was going for the ball, but grabbed his arm by accident. There was nothing sheisty about it and he apologized after the game. Doubt it's that much of an issue.

Rudy might want out if Portland gets Hedo... he and Ariza would fit with the RA's offense, quick without the ball and can shoot 3s.

Shane would give Blazers experience, leadership and character.

A reach but getting Rudy might help us get Rubio!

If the Blazers get Hedo they need to upgrade their point not add another SF with Webster, Outlaw, and Batum already covering that spot.

Brooks for Fernandez. Fernandez can be the Rockets new PG.

    We are in rebuild mode.

If Yao comes back, he may never be the same, we can't depend on him. We can't commit big $$ to him. Let him go.

We need to get our hands on those three young players Golden State is willing to let go for Amare.

I believe Portland actually has about $6-7 million of cap space this summer. Hence their interest in Hedo.

So the Blazers could absorb Shane's contract while yielding Rudy, if they so desired, but they'd play hardball on that, even if Shane gives them a lot of qualities they're missing.

The Blazers would probably counter with, "OK, we'll give you Batum and some pocket lint, how about that? Look, I've screwed you twice before in recent years, I don't want to break precedent. I'll even use K-Y this time, can't get a better deal than that."

True but the more I look at how things are unfolding this offseason..Rudy F./Joel Flopzilla for Shane Battier might get things rolling at least...We have our center and slashing two to either start till TMAC comes back or better yet we trade TMAC to get someone to replace him along with more pieces!!
