The Brick Three, TSlack, Tofu, and Testy greatly underperformed. That being said, we will struggle to make the playoffs.

would you rather lose in the first round or have a shot at a high lottery selection?

right before FA in 2010? I'll take the lottery pick.

I know what you're saying, but it's wrong to purposely tank just to get a pick. Rockets fans have always taken the moral road. What's the point in being a Rockets fan is you just wanna tank to get into the lottery?

If we get a lottery pick, then that's all good, but the team has to try its best while hitting the lottery.

I just want to prove to the media that this team is good, and that there are other teams besides the Cavs and Lakers going to the finals. As of today, every team has a chance to win next year. Maybe a upset by the Rockets or going on a limb here, the Thunder. Who knows, the future can't be predicted. Look, Stern didn't get his LeBron vs Kobe this year.

They won't be bottom feeders, but unless Aaron Brooks somehow turns into an all-star caliber point guard next year, I don't see them making the playoffs in this Western Conference. At least not as presently constructed.

The offseason is still young, though.

You have to wonder if the way this offseason is turning out is making McGrady less motivated to return -- as things are, even if he somehow manages to make it back early and leads the team to the playoffs, there's pretty much no chance they make it to the second round.

Thunder have a great young team. They are the next Portland. They make take 8th seed or just miss out on playoffs. Either way, they are an elite team in 3 season if they make the right moves and keep their young players.

Playoffs is a yes but going deep in the playoffs is the real question. If the team can get pieces in a trade then they can make a run but as is it would be difficult.

Oh, we will definitely make the playoffs.

It's just a matter of what seed we are going to get.

Well, if we don't get a star or a superstar this season, I would love to see how these young guys do without a first/second option.

    Brooks
    Taylor
    Ariza
    Scola
    Dorsey (lol)

I would love to see that lineup start and play well.

It wouldn't surprise me if we went 29-53. But it also wouldn't surprise me if we went 53-29.

Wow, talk about a homer post.

Let's be more realistic and say that a successful season would be 41 wins. Most likely, I see us hitting about 33-38 wins.

Jesus Christ i just now found out that the spurs are not content with having 4 all stars/super stars on their roster, now they are pushing to obtain the services of rasheed wallace. This means that i dont care how much praise clutchfans give to Morey, he needs to get his **** together and play a role cuz we are falling way behind all the other teams in the west. Take LA for example, now they have bryant, gasol, odom, and artest to begin games night in and night out. Denver's got lots of offensive fire power in billups, melo, smith, kleisa (all capable of scoring in the 40+ points) Blazers are looking solid and looking to add hedo, mavs looking to get serious all stars also (plus the four that they already have kidd included). Where the heck does that leave houston??? There is no doubt in my mind if management doesnt pull the trigger on a huge trade such as amare, or bosh THIS offseason not only will there be more losses than wins and no playoff appearances but less and less fans night in and night out watching the houston rockets. As of now im interested in finding out what the young guys are capable of, lets hope taylor and/or budinger errupt into a wade type or a dirk type soon otherwise i see nothing in the near future for this team. I hope Morey and everyone takes this into consideration cuz i would much rather deal and do whatever to win NOW and not retool for God knows when.

Been playing w/o a Big 3 since the Dream, Glide, and the Round Mound of Rebound. Made the last 2 w/o either Yao or T-Mac. So, sure we can squeek in. These are not in any order but Lakers, Trailblazers, Spurs, Nuggets, Mavericks are shoe-ins barring any major injuries. The Hornets and Jazz have regressed but i'll fill them in with the 6th and 7th. The last spot is up for grabs. I can see a 4-5 team dogfight down to the wire.
