Can we still sign the rookies after signing Ariza?

    I asked this question in the Ariza trade, but no one answer me...so..

    Does the rookies count on the free agents too?

    Of course we can. IIRC we just can't add a 3rd year to their contracts or something to that extent.

    We can sign them to minimum contracts up to 2 years in length.

    I guess the two rookies are the pawns in a future trade ,if we don't get gortat,why can't we use them to trade for Hasheem Thabeet？oh,of course with tracy's contract...like we used Green for Artest last summer.

    I think Memphis had some nice offers for that #2 pick. I'm pretty sure, they dont want to move Thabeet. Quit dreaming.
