why are people talking about getting into a good position in the draft next year when Sacramento has our draft pick due to the Ron Artest trade.

 

Call an end to the Yao/TMac era and build around the young core.

2) Trade McGrady, Aaron Brooks, and Carl Landry to Phoenix for Steve Nash and Jason Richardson (yes, this trade works). It's no secret The Sun's are looking to unload. You have to give something to get something.

3) Use the money saved from not re-signing Artest and Wafer + Yao's injury exception to sign David Lee (5 years, 63 Million)

4) Sign Unrestricted Free Agents Keith Bogans and Jamaal Magloire.

Let's hope Morey keeps the team that performed well in the playoffs mostly intact and works some magic with McGrady's contract and other teams' payroll problems to add a young scorer to the team. He's going to have to do something about the center situation, and going the free agent route is wise so he can save the Rockets' resources to get a diamond in the rough to replace McGrady. So hope to get Gortat, package some point guard and power forward depth with McGrady for some firepower and see where that gets us. Maybe one of these rookies will pan out, too. If that happens, the Rockets can be damn good next year.

3.don't offer Ron(thx for his Rox day,but it's time to say goodbye)
4.use the MLE to sign Gortat

then,in 2010-11,we can

1.use our cap space to catch a big fish in 2010 free agent market
2.hope a healthy Yao come back
3.2009-10 season will be a predictable darktime for us since we lost our big3.but in bright side,that will give us a good 1st round pick and our young players will get more minutes to help them make progress quickly.
4.Gortat will be a solid backup for Yao

in 2010-11,we back to be a contender again.

I say we just blow this team up. Do what we can to get Gortat and then see if we can somehow pick up Chris Bosh. Whether it be by trading Yao or Tmac I say we go after him. Then see if we can lure a guy like chris paul or Durant for either Yao or Tmac as well. Each one of those superstars should be able to land us another two studs that could really send us to the promise land. Just imagine a starting lineup of....

If we are rebuilding, there is no reason to trade Brooks and Landry. They are young/cheap talent.
