Who cares, I still love this team because they play with their hearts. Beside I like to see what Adleman can do with all these role players.

It certainly won't be the Dream Team, but what else are we going to do. If we had good chips to trade we wouldn't need to trade. More than likely Artest is gone, and in view of the circumstances I don't think that is a bad thing. We don't need to pay him a fortune to bring us up to a mediocre team. Why do you think we drafted 2 SG's, maybe Morey knows something about running a BBall team. Center is a different question, I think the FO was blind-sided by that one and you can't really blame them. Hard to plan for the unforeseeable. 2010 will be a new ballgame and we will have some chips to play with then. If TMac comes back whole, maybe we will resign him and redefine his role. God knows we really missed a go-to guy in the playoffs.
The one bright spot about Yao going down for however long it happens is that it will certainly give Scola a chance to come out and show who he is, now that the Rox don't have to play thru Yao. Let's hope he comes up diamonds and not coal!

I wish one of the Cap mavens on this board would write up a definitive post on the true effect of the various scenarios on our cap space this year.

I think T-Mac won't be shipped out soon. Probably keep him till the end of his contract. I would love to see Amare now.

    Brooks/Lowry
    T-Mac/Taylor/Barry
    Amare/Scola
    Battier/Landry
    Gortat/Zaza

nah, we will move TMac's contract for something

the 2010 cap space plus the insurance company paying his salary while he is rehabbing will hopefully be enough for an owner to give up something decent

Does all this mean that there's a greater likelihood that the Rockets will sign Wafer?

Nope. That's why we traded for draft picks. And we have White.
