I would love to do a SNT involving Artest for Ilgaukas where Artest gets 10 -12 mil per season and we get to rent Ilgaukas for one year, his contract expires nest summer. This would screw the Cavs for good for the next 4-5 years. We in turn get our much needed serviceable Center and future backup to Yao who we could re sign for very cheap considering his age and diminishing game.

He's not taking the mle in his last opportunity to get a big contract just to win a ring.

Im sorta surprised to see Cleveland chasing him. This is sorta in a way a make or break year for them. Good chance Shaq will be gone after next year, and if they dont win the finals, let alone make the finals, I could see LBJ leaving. IF they commit to Artest, he might be the only left after next season.

I think if Ron wants to be a "tru warier" then he should go to war with the team and coach that believed in him when very few did, where he would be a major part of a TEAM that took the champs to 7 games w/out our superstars, where he would be in a top 4 market w/out a state tax, be in a city with a strong rap history, and have growing popularity by just playing with an international icon. (when he's back of course) (ask around... even Bonzi got a shoe deal)

Stay here Ron. We know it's seems easy to bail but you've turned your career around with the Rockets and they believed in you.. why not let it play out a little further? Look at the hump you almost got us over?

    How about a 3 way?

Varejao s&t to Oklahoma City (Bucher reported last night they had interest)

    Artest s&t to the Cavs

? to Rockets (OKC is sitting on multiple first round picks for next year's draft incl PHX's pick)

So if Artest signs elsewhere, what is the Rox backup plan? Please do not say Wafer.

    Ariza maybe?

I would love to have a guy like Ariza, but that is very doubtful. Good chance he'll resign with LA.

I hope he goes to the Cavs.. I like Ron, but did not want to invest long term in him when it looks like we will be needing to rebuild. I would rather have the cap room.

However, I would like to see him with Lebron, M Williams and Shaq...

Would like to see them get to woop Kobes a$$ next year in the Finals!!!

    Depends.
Lebron would have to sell Ron on the fact that it is multiyear
    because
I personally think LeBron is out after next year
    Win Lose or Draw

Lebron is on a paper chase and NY has the biggest $$

Good post, but FYI, Houston is not a top 4 market.

Houston is in the top ten (10). But Cleveland isn't (17). Google it.
